It's the people with integrity in the Western world who will tend to freak out like you guys are freaking out, given the present circumstances. Our governments are lying packs of sheit. Nevertheless, this is a gaming forum, and there are forums where you'll find people ready and eager to discuss these kind of things. I'd take these thoughts there.

When I played this episode I had to destroy every single other AI planet until the Yor would ally with me. But that was just when DA started, so I hope things have changed since then. I had super high diplomacy, the best military, and I was coddling the Yor for the entire game. But nothing seemed to work until I had wiped out the furthest Korath outpost. Again, things must have changed, because others are saying you can make an alliance without wiping out all the other races.
I can definately see a difference in all the races and their behavior. Yes, so we will just slowly back away from this thread and let it lie peacefully in its grave once again.
Don't look on AltMeta, or you might just have a total breakdown.
Try parking a troop ship or two right next to one of their planets.
I haven't updated yet either, so don't think that I'm claiming this is in the beta. If someone sees it there, though, we should report it there also.
I've now reported it to Stardock.
IIRC it was the last anomaly. No, never for me. In fact, it might be the first anomaly that a certain AI (random?) hits, because I come across an AI flagship that's stuck quite early in the game. But the other AI ships do congregate around the stuck ship when it's the last anomaly, for obvious reasons. Namely, they're trying to get to that last anomaly "under" the stuck ship. I'm glad (?) someone else has seen this. At least it'
I love the idea!! But your initial survey ship isn't "useless". You upgrade it to a medium hull, and if you've hit enough of the right anomalies, you'll find that its hitpoints are far beyond your standard medium ships.
I have a Krynn game on the move, though the conclusion will have to wait until I've finished my taxes!
Before I send a zipped savegame to Stardock, I just want to see if anyone else has seen this. It's happened to me even since DL, but I just saw the worst example of it in the latest DA build (not 1.6 Beta, but the latest 1.5x). Typically, one AI flagship will get stuck on an anomaly, and just sit there for the rest of the game (in fact, in every game where this has happened, it's only happened to one AI ship, as if when one does this, the others won't). If my flagship, or any survey s
Yeah, I'm not sure what good it would really do. I'd go beyond saying that most people design their own ships. I'd say that ALL people who want to be successful at the higher levels have to design their own ships, so the core ships are irrelevant even before they become available.
Wait, I thought the latest DA (not the beta) didn't give neutral the automatic terraforming. And that's what happened (i.e., didn't happen) in my last game, as Thalans. I had to research and build all terraforms. It was too powerful for neutral as it was in DL. The issue you're having is a different one, where the planet quality doesn't match tile number. That has indeed been fixed in the latest DA.
My guess is they'll have it on Stardock on Monday. They didn't want people sending stuff in over a weekend while most or all of them would be gone.
Anyone know if this works the same way as Super Breeder, in that you need 100% approval for it to take effect? I assume it doesn't, but if it does it would be very useful to know.
So, are you saying you've found a morale exploit? If you're playing on the highest level (suicidal?), then you're far beyond where I am. I usually play medium, all random, so that sometimes the only planets I have are my homeworld. There's no way you could play that way with this set-up. But if 100% morale will win when there are many inhabitable planets, then I'm glad you've told me this. In my games I have to worry about building my military before I can even imagine getting my mo
Congrats! Yeah, I would be happy to go into more detail, but after some testing I'm pretty sure you stop getting any bonus after your morale hits 100%. This makes morale resources next to useless... but oh well. I am not going to question the devs in their ultimate wisdom. So you always have morale at 100? Any player has to work to get their morale even near to 100!! And you can do it without any resources? I'd love to hear how.
This game is very very stingy economically, i have described before the economy in galciv as being tighter than microsofts copywright policy! As such by the end of most of my games, at least 80% of my worlds will be dedicated to economy only.... thats how insanely tight assed this game is economically!!!! Mystic, your viewpoint is what I used to think. However, since I've played the Korath, I've seen that you can just steamroll your way to victory,
Well, just look at the numbers. Research Coordinators aren't worth their price until you already have something worth making a 25% bonus for. So, if you only have two or three research facilities, then it's not worth it. That seems obvious. As to power plants, I usually only put them on planets that have lots of factories, and in the beginning only on one that has my manufacturing capital. What's 10% worth if you only have 4 factories? It's not worth another factory. It's pretty s
I like trying to keep them alive throughout the game. They can be very useful. Yes, they won't expand or threaten anyone, but that's wny I like trying to think of them as civs to defend. Especially if I'm playing a "good" civ. If I'm evil, I'll crush them ASAP!!!!
Others might not agree with this, but I found one or two military starbases, with enhancements to your ships' attack, will help enormously. Then you only need to build tiny ships with a little attack, and a fleet of those can do decently against the DL at first. Put those fleets on the starbases, and just wait for the DL ships to come at you. They take much longer to build their ships than you will, so that's one way you can at least survive a period of attrition. It is a tough campaign, tho
and on that same turn there is a colony ship in orbit above that planet and this is the last time i will say anything on this so there is no arguements Well, if the ship appears on the same turn, then that's clearly wrong and strange.
No, always send as many troops as possible. Once you start researching planetary invsasion, go all the way. It's far superior to have 2000 or 3000 troop transports invading than to have 500 or 1000. If zero troops killed 50, who cares? You should have picked those transports off to begin with!!! Keep a fleet of competent ships around when you're going to war.
DethAdder, I reinstalled the game. So if you doh't have to do so, then this problem might not show up. Needless to say, I did not go forward with playing the game, because I would not pay a corporation $30 to play it, when I've already bought it. I guess this shows how awesome Stardock is with their system. If I'd uninstalled GCII, I could reinstall it without this kind of difficulty. So somebody please inform me as to how Ligos isn't a scam company!!!!
So yeah, doesn't LOOK like a scam, but does look like a rear end move. Marcathonas, thanks for the idea of blocking internet access. But I really can't understand how you can't admit this is a scam! A rear end move is better than a scam? Is that your point? Please explain the difference. I'll try blocking, but I shouldn't have to do so. I'm trying to discover who is at fault for the scam of trying to charge people to play a gam
