That's how I understand it, yes.

I'm curious, what has changed for the worse in 1.11?
At a guess: -They already have another colonisation ship on the way to the higher PQ planet (yes, it would be more sensible to give it to the first one to get there, but I suspect the AI is on 'fire and forget' mode for colonisers, unless someone else gets there first) -They hadn't seen the higher PQ planet when they launched the first colony ship -They're just being stupid One of the three...
The description I read was 'All of your ships can survey' I don't think it's broken, I just think that by the time you get it, it's useless.
I think I remember reading somewhere that the AI's evaluation of relative military strength is up for a revamp in 1.2. I can only guess that is referring to what weapons/defenses each race has.
Ever read the game examples in the datalinks? Just doing something like that would be pretty cool. Your wish is my command... Link Actually, I was doing this anyway.
I felt like doing something along the lines of the game play examples in the Journals section. So here it is. Medium Galaxy, Common habitable planets and stars with Abundant Planets and anomolies. Tough difficulty, with all the other races. Pretty standard, right? Wrong. Because in this game, I’m not going to build a single colony ship. That’s right, I’m going to be: Playing as a Minor Race (Well, near enough anyway) It is the
No, you don't need to spend any more after reaching the highest level.
Galactic Privateer has been changed I believe, because of this bug. Now, they can attack your frieghters, but the trade route will never be broken.
Oh yes, I forgot that. I can't remember how I did that mission. I don't remember having a particular problem, maybe I just got lucky.
So... is there any help on my Metaverse related issue? Just above the 'Hopeless Newb's post....
I have three theories. Either: A. No-one likes me (highly possible) B. Nobody knows C. Nobody saw this In the hope that it's C, I'm going to bump this... Even a 'no you can't' would be helpful. Save me the effort of looking for a way.
The strategy holds though. You only really have to fight the DLs properly in the Armageddon mission. The other ones I managed to complete before the DLs really made their presence felt. This was only on Challenging difficulty in v1.0X though, I haven't tried it again since I first started playing the game.
I think it would be better if the AI only surrendered to civs that they shared a border with... I'm sure distance is already considered, but it needs to be made more important.
- This is in the options menu already 'Tactical view mode' or something like that - I like, and have suggested myself in fact. Espionage is supposed to be one of the things that will be improved in the expansion pack, but I really hope they implement this slightly simpler idea for the timebeing -Not really bothered - Ditto - I haven't seen this - Of course
You do not need to give them the alliance tech in order to form an alliance. You have to have a 'Close' relationship (sometimes they'll let you do it with 'warm', I'm not 100% sure how exactly it is determined). What you've experienced up to now, I suspect, is that gifting the Alliance tech has been enough to improve your relationship with the race to the required level.
They don't exist. It's a computer game. The following items also do not exist, yet appear in game: - All of the Alien races - Shield technology - Hyperdrive/Warp/etc. (OK, they're kind of based on real science, but not really) - Loads more stuff I can't be bothered writing about
I'm trying to make a scenario that is effectively 'Play as the Dread Lords'. Basically, the idea is that you, the Terran Alliance start off with a single planet but all the techs. The Drengin start with all the other planets, but no tech. The problem I'm running into is that there seems to be no way to set different starting techs for each race. It seems that either both races have all the techs, or both have neither. Does anyone know a way around this?
Pardon? I never restart games, and I never hit Ctrl-N. If you get a bad start, then that will make the eventual victory all the more sweet.
I'm not an expert, but I'd imagine that they've set themselves up for a fall there. If they actually recieve money, then surely that means that there must be some sort of trail that would lead to them. Seems like they could get caught pretty quickly...
I've said this before- they should move a fleet of warships along with a fleet of transports, always on the same square so that they are effectively the same fleet. The warships take out the defenders, then the transports invade. I understand that proper multi-fleet armadas are incredibly processor intensive and thus impracticle, but surely this sort of coordination isn't too hard? After all, in effect you've actually cut the number of fleets the computer has to worry about in half. T
I see what you're saying. But it seems to me that it may be hard to implement. First of all, say you want a priority list of upgrades somewhere. The things at the top of the list would always be upgraded first. That would require an enirely new menu, plus the code to actually implement it. An alternative would be to restrict this to the planetary manager always prioritising factories. But this could also cause problems. Shortly after the patch was released, you'd be seeing
At least they built the factory on the manufacturing bonus tile...
I see no reason why it wouldn't work, but it is cheasy, and it is also costly in citizens...
There r no walmarts where I live, England. Off course they own Asda but asda's better then walmart so that does not count! *Smacks head against wall* It's the exact same thing, but with a different name!
