I doubt you would ever get two on a single planet. It's highly unlikely, but I've seen planets with two 700% mines, so two 700% libraries doesn't seem that rediculous.
Sir Arfs a Lot
I've seen this happen before, but the AI usually has 3 or 4 colony ships on route to systems with more than one habitable planet and they colonize in order of what they see, I think it is either because they colonize in the order they find the planets or they see your colony ships too and figure they'd better grab what they can. After all, it's better to have a pq6 and your enemy have a pq20 than let your enemy have both.
Most of us players choose bad and pay our way to another alignment with Xeno Ethics. I, for one choose for all my decisions. I guess I'm a rare breed. . . there should be more then 3 alignments... each alignme
I was thinking mutually exclusive in terms of the fact that you can only operate one. They are dependant, but I was thinking along the lines of "if you change one, the other is ignored". Lol. Don't worry. That is one of the most common mistakes made by students in both logic and probability courses which is why I picked up on it: I've had so
Ah excellent. I just tried some different invasion types and the traditional warfare one didn't cost money. Thanx all! I believe the amount of money a tactic costs is displayed in the right-hand side when you are choosing an invasion tactic. The cost isn't displayed when I am choosing them though. Maybe I'll try a re-install and s
grammar police! It's not my fault! All through university I loved pointing out errors to English Studies students in their work since nothing is more humiliating to an English major than having errors in their writing pointed out to them by a science student. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi
One time after I successfully invaded a planet I noticed my funds dropped from +600 to -400 (I should mention that this invasion took place right after the colonization phase, so it was just as I was building my economy, which is why I only had 600 in my treasury). I thought this was strange since it was in the middle of a turn and I hadn't purchased anything so my money shouldn't be dropping. So I invaded another planet and my funds dropped 600 more. After I got out of debt I built some more
I bought mine in a store. I see one just about every time I go browsing through the stores that sell video games.
What I do is spy on the other civ's fleets to see what weapons they are using, then pick who I want to destroy first and ally with all civ's that don't use the same weapons as that civ. That way you can put weapons and armour on all your ships to easily counter your enemies and not have to worry about your ships being attacked by an enemy which uses weapons you don't have defences against or has armour to block your weapons.
I never thought of using cargo hulls to make spy ships. That would be great 'cause I wouldn't need so many spy ships to find everything and then, of course, keep an ever vigilant eye on everything in the galaxy.
I just downloaded 1.2 and I hope that I have a 700% research tile on one of my planets in my first game using 1.2. I've been waiting so long for it to happen!
I never put extra life support on ships and just use starbases to extend my range. I usually don't pick fights with enemies I can't reach from my home planets with basic range anyway.
Generally I play with this option off, because of these reasons. I don't want to have lost the game before its even started, if one AI player become so enormously powerful from soaking up all the lesser AIs in the game. That's why I don't use it either. Even if there is only one civ with horrible intelligence, most of the time that just leads
I've tried IE, Firefox, and even Netscape and all of them get the errors.
Hhmmm... I can't remember the first TBS game I played, my parents had lots of electronic stuff when I was growing up and let me mash away at the keyboard/joystick before I knew what I was doing. As far as games I actually remember playing, I'd have to say my first TBS was probably Battle Isle 2220: Shadow of the Emperor... At least it's the oldest one that I still have a copy of.
Sounds like an interesting idea. And it could drastically change strategies since if you have an economy boost tile, you won't need as many farms to have the same tax income, so you won't have to have as many morale boosters, so you can put more economic buildings thus enhancing your economy even more than just the tile bonus. I love it.
Try having a full war when you have to deal with a battle every 2 turns...I would quit the game in the middle out of exhaustion... Two things. First, if you are in a late game war, you'll have much more than a battle every 2 turns. Second, I'm sure there will always be the option to turn off the tactical battles if you don't want to do them,
Coming back from -17 million would certainly be quite a tester. Fortunately I've never been that far in the hole... But it usually does end in me not doing so swell and reloading the game from a few turns before the money vanished.
or you can click f on the keyboard.
They are mutually exclusive: either you pick individual intelligence, or overall level. Not both. Technically speaking because you either pick individual intelligence or overall level they are not mutually exclusive, they are dependent. Mutually exclusive means they have nothing to do with each other, dependent means they have everything to d
I'm fairly sure you can't make a ship that powerful. Won't have the space. And no ship can have 1 movement point. And my Behemoth class would completely destroy that ship in one shot Just a quick question... How can Lukoil not make a ship that powerful but your Behemoth class be able to completely destroy it?
There have been many threads on this topic. Just yesterday, in fact there was one. Lots of people have the mysterious money disappearing scenario happen to them. I just reload, or, if I'm in the mood for a tough game, try to fight my way back.
I am, however, surprised at how poorly multiplayer did. I thought it would be at least #2. Maybe multiplayer didn't do so well because we're all getting used to the single player only style and would like additional features to support that more than multiplayer... Or most of us figure we've pushed so hard for multiplayer that it will be a fe
I've never used Auto Attack before, I'll have to try it in the game I'm in to see if the same thing happens to me. With Auto Explore though, all my ships that I set on it migrate towards the same path and I end up with dozens of scouts all flying in a line like Lemmings. This sort of defeats the purpose of Auto Exploring. The exploration path should be random each time you click w. At least this way some of your scouts would go explore somewhere different.
