(I think the robotic cruiser is the most useless ship in the game next to the command cruiser). makes me sad... but he has a valid point. i do hope this changes.

my big complaint is the way fleet management is done. yes we have the numbers, but i like to asign ships to guard other ships (ex. my flagship). it can take a very long time to get my fleet set up the way i want it, then with one accidental drag select rather then only using my numbers... all those guard orders are gone. its very annoying. id like to see a "lock" feature when assigning a ship to another ship. this would save me ALOT of hasle. right now i dont even bother with fleet micro m
I feel similarly with regards to how invaluable the ships seem to be. though i dont agree with those who want LESS ships. im hopeing that when the "crew" feature is intigrated that this will help make us more carful to not just commit suicide with our valuable crews. im hopeing that we will need to take into acount the value of human life. say by making great loss of life affect moral and tax income. possibly even causing some planets to rebell if we needlessly waist ships just because we k
AHH thanks
i dont know about free, but i deffinitly support an option to make techs cheeper (or more expencive) for multiplayer games. right now they take tooo long and i think this would be a really good way to get more ships fighting sooner... wich is why we play the game
forgive me if this has been gone over but i could only spare a quick skim over all 59 responces... but im very sadned that the space station upgrades were left out of 1.7 i was really looking fowerd to many more hours of exciting conquest, but i guess ill have to wait till TA comes out i kinda out played GC2 untill some new features come out... but im psyched TA! not so about the wait <img src="http:
= bad ideas. not bad ideas... just not a very well thought out idea. but i thank you for having it because it is interesting and may spark other much beter ideas.
and wich yellow button are you talking about?
Yeah i think i noticed the stock market tab in beta 2... so i it isnt new(if my memory serves me). i remember seeing it and thinking the same thing to myself but the conversation in my head wound up concluding that there is porbably a stock market feature that the devs have yet to make official. it could be the stock market is just a back ground game mechenism that helps determin what prices are and how much you get for trade and tourism and what not. when it says money spent and money erned
yeah whatever... i like the asthetics of the green and purple stars. as unlikely as they maybe (and i honestly dont know the stats) i still like the way they look, they make the game less symetrical... same with the sky boxes, they are HUGELY unrealistic. but for a game i dont mind them tooo much
oh and the original thing i was gonna get on here to say... but got totally sidetract the tactical grid in different sized systems have different size squares... im guessing this is to make every grav well have the same amount of boxes. while i can see the initial logic in this it leads us very stray in how we perseave the grav well size. i think it would be beter to have the boxes the same si
and the visuals of seeing the flair being flung out in some random direction hoping it doenst hit your planet... When was the last time the earth was threatened by a solar flare? Never, right? (Something to do with geomagnetism, go look it up yourself... <img id="ImageResize_Image_19" onload="ImageResizer.createOn(this);" src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gif" align="absmiddle" bor
- solar flares? not just fancy effects from star, but what about random huge flares (one an hour?) which errupt from the star and slowly move out across the system (slowly) im sure there are lots of things you can guys can come up with so it can effect gameplay... (lose phase lanes?) sheilds reduced in the storm? planets effected when it hits them. This is a bit like that plasma storm effect you got in B3, but its just feels a bit randomly placed. why ha
Yeah unfortunatly theres nothing in the options to turn off the UI compleatly for cooler screen shots
ok well since i was zoomed in to the size of a fighter... every explosion is massive and amazing and... just freekin ridiculous! i gotta say I LOVE THIS GAME!! ps. how do you turn off the UI? i tried to for the screen shots and wound up missing alot of the battle i tryed all the F keys and the UI opptions... i got the info card to turn off, but thats all i could do.
it was me vs Polluxo (vs Ofuse... but he didnt participate in this particular battle)
agreed... at the minimum make some non-colonizable moons... But really im just glad we have them, and those cool plasma storms and magnetic clouds are cool too though its weird how a cloud has a grav well i know i know... not really a grav well, just a place you cant jump through...
and you sure you didnt loose a cap ship... because i saw some MASSIVE explosions... and i only had 1 kol in that battle i swear i though you lost atleast 1 if not 2?
Twas the dawn before death. All knew tomorrows light, we would not see. Preparations had been made; defenses constructed. This was our day. It belonged to no other. For we The Travilers were a proud people. No mater how fiercely or ferociously the evil Polluxo were to smite their venomous wrath upon us, we were determined to vanquish these horrors back to the nether world from winst they came. The mighty Traviler Empire had once ruled more then half the known galaxy. We ruled with honest
are you talking about the zoom to curser thing? i dont like it either but i just toggled it off at the top of the screen...
i vote for vasari too
AND I HAVE TO BE TORTURED ALL DAY... and i have plans tonight.... maybe ill just go home from work early and play the daylight away
oh saddness... ... i dont know what else to say
ok, just to save face then drop it... check out Scientific American: A Matter of Time, June 26, 2006 pg. 6 article "That Mysterious Flow." This article depicts what I’m trying to say 100x better then I could. The idea of the film strip cut up and stacked on top of each other came from that article. I get my info from sci. magazines and physics classes... I’m a 4th year Astro-physics undergrad at the Univ. of Cal. at Irvine. I do claim some knowledge but as (I think it was) Plato said, "The b
and you went to MIT for physics? or you know a professor? just wondering, either way its impressive. and like i said im not trying to argue my oppinion. i was just trying to help shed light were it seemed light needed sheding... but like i also said, looks like you got plenty in your direction so ill stop.
