*After a quick google* Oh... my... god... I'm so not letting that kid near my computer! He acts like he's possessed by comical version of Hitler's ghost. Warning! This may hurt your ears. [link="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBVmfIUR1DA"]WWW Link[/link]
That reminds me of the angry German Kid!!!! Reply if you know exactly what I am talking about!!
I have no idea what you are talking about. Would you mind explaining?
For the love of god Stardock, do tell you plan to change the Planet Buildings menu for the better with TA? Alphabetical order and a list with gigazillion different buildings just is not very... elegant?
I agree. I never did get around to commenting on it back in DA betas, but

My Beta plan: ________________ Lets see here... 1 game to get a feel. 3 games to throughly test the races (1 as each). 1 to test this "Immense" size galaxies. Maybe a few more games after that to cover anything I missed.
That is, will a drengin slave pit give the same production points as a basic factory (or wht ever it equivelent will be) or what ever kind of production building another race will use
No. From what I've heard, the Drengin slave pits will have less production than a basic factory, plus it has a penalty to influence. The Yor are no longer affected by morale anymore (bonuses, structures, and yellow resources). Stuff like that. The devs are trying to go far beyond me

I want to follow up on my question:
I'm wondering, whats your opinion on ethics in this game? The current ethics seem lame at this time.
Your reply was something like, "we don't want to be going around telling people whats right and wrong.". What I'm wondering is, if you were to make changes to the current ethics system, aside from whats mentioned above, what would you be looking for as an update or replacement? I'm in a brainstorming mood right now.<br/
The AI in GalCiv is not like AIs in other games. It will adapt automatically to custom tech trees. The AI doesn't know anything about the tech trees in Dark Avatar. It has no hard coded paths to take. It does look at the AI value to help pick when it has to make a blind pick. But otherwise, it uses the categories and branches (which are defined) to make intelligent choices. Any decently made custom tech tree will adhere to calling manufacturing technologies manu

I'm back. That feature didn't seem to make much of a difference. By the way, would it be to much to ask for a ship flight speed multiplier. I find the longest part of the game is how long it takes for a ship, or a fleet to arrive somewhere. If I could double the speed of all ships, I might be able to shave off maybe almost half the time needed to play. By the way, a resource multiplier would be nice to have as well.
Have you tried the 'fast' setting added in the beta 3 patch on a small map? Should help considerably in that regard.
I'll look into that. Thanks. In any case, where should I place comments for game improvement? There are a few things I would like to have tweaked, or looked at.
Divine Wrath I am more talking about whether or not the game, for beta testers atm, is repeditive after one or two games. There are classic games you keep coming back to, homeworld is one of those, and...
When did I get off-topic? And when did I mention Homeworld? Also I don't recall keep returning to classic games with my 1 post (until now) in this tread.

I've pre-ordered this game and have been playing since beta 2. The problem I've been having is, I don't know if I actually like this game. I've played a lot when I first got to play, but now its about 1 game per update. My major problems (thus far) ________________ 1. Quick games seem to take too long. I've played Starcraft and Warcraft 3, and my quick games usually take no longer than half-an-hour. With Sins however, it seems to take atleast 2 hours to complete. 2.

I suppose *any* game would get repetitive if it was played long enough. The question is then, how do you prevent the game from feeling repetitive for as long as possible? Perhaps one way to do this, is to adjust or eliminate whatever makes the game feel tedious. One of the things I find tiresome is how long it can take for ships and fleets to move and jump to different locations. If I'm staring at my screen waiting for my resources rise to the point where I can afford to research a tech
+ Cari squashed a spider last Wedensday
No!! Not my spy spider bot... err... I mean... No!! Cari, you shouldn't squish spiders. They only want to peacefully co-exist and eat bugs. I'm sure it only wanted to say hello, and not spy on your code. /act innocent

I don't think good has been improved. However, many "good" techs, such as "arnorion armor", do provide a bonus to either hit points or defense. Although the individual parts provided by the techs may become obsolete, the bonuses stick around. I find that its reason enough to play as good. I however, don't play as other alignments often, so I might be in the dark about how it actually feels to play as neutral, or evil.

You might want to check this out. In my first game of beta 4, I won an influence victory. The thing I found odd is, I wasn't informed that I was going to win in 10 turns once I got over 75% influence. I'll check up on this once I get some more time.

I've got all those ships together... why aren't they treated as a 'whole'??? Like the book/manual suggests... "fleets have added bonues/etc. when it comes to fighting"... I'm not seeing it in the slightest and it's really frustrating. The manual might be outdated. There has been many updates since DA was released. It would be wiser to think of the manual as a guide instead of words written in stone. Ships in fleets are treated as individual ship

I've played EVE for about 2 months and decided that its not the game for me. The monthly fees is what killed things, that and the need to keep track of your skill trainings to develop you character quickly is what killed it for me. Its a shame, I kinda liked the game. I've recently started playing "X3: REUNION" by egosoft. It has a steep learning curse, but it appears to be a good replacement for those who want a good space sim. ________________ Just to warn you, this game

I checked this out and it turns out that due to logic bug, your negative treasury balance is being converted to a lease. I've fixed this for the next update. Aww, free dept removal go bye bye? I'll miss you!

My question is this: once the mod is complete (or even now, with the beta) would I be able to have Klingons and Dregnins duke it out or would the star trek material replace the stock game stuff entirely? Beats me. I'm not working on any star trek mod. But I do know something about modding this game. It depends how the mod is set up. What most mods are is a bunch of files in a special mod directory (both DL and DA have their own separate ones). T
