Well, if it helps any, when I hit six games, my score was cut in half as well, and is still being calculated as half of total of the games. I don't mind them trying to balance things out, or whatever they are doing, but just cutting the score in half after a certain number of games seems a bit too arbitrary.

I noticed that error too. I guess it must be a holdover from the original game, when you could only play the Terrans. If you think it is strange when playing another race, I found it quite disconcerting to see after I had wiped out the Terrans in one of my games.
I have seen this bug in every version of the game I have played, specifically the demo, V1.0 and V1.11. It occurs in all games, Metaverse or not. Personally, I consider it a really major bug, and even if it is deliberate, it could still be considered a bug, since we the players all hate it. Also, the principle behind saving a game is to return to it as you left off. In this game, aside from halting production, the influence borders are just wrong for a few turns afterward, and then they don't re
Yesterday I submitted my second game to the Metaverse. First thing I did when visiting was to check my entry. My rank has gone gratifying up ... but my favourite race is now listed as Arcean. In my two submitted games I have played as the Terrans and the Altarians, and I have not even played as the Arceans on non-submitted games. Why the heck is my favourite race showing as a race I have never played? RAS
I haven't seen the pirates in my first few games, and there is always a massive amount of trading happening in my games, so that might not be the key to them appearing. Personally I would prefer the Fundamentalists to either appear less or appear with less power. The one game I have seen them, they gained the Korx homeworld, which effectively eliminated the one successful evil race from that game. That was quite disappointing. RAS
"+ Fix to bug that would cause AI to build an unlimited # of morale or influence improvements on a planet." From what I have seen in my games, this fix alone would totally change how the AI operates. On Normal level, it might even become competitive. RAS
Good to hear, and apologies (if necessary) for bringing up something you already knew about. RAS
I've only had this game for a week, so it is pretty arrogant of me to say this ... but I agree, the game's AI just does things that are stupid. I have seen it build three or four economic starbases next to a homeworld, but not upgrade a single one of them. Does the AI even know what an economic starbase does? As for planetary improvements, I think the AI does specialise ... the wrong way. The homeworlds seem to be covered in research facilities, while one planet I saw had like four farms and two
OK, first off, this is my first post here, and I haven't checked more than the first page in this forum, so my apologies if this has already been mentioned. (I did check the bug list at the Wiki site before posting.) Anyway, the bug is that the Planet Quality number reverts to the original number after loading a game. This is not just a nit-pick, as if the Planet Quality was boosted to ten or more, after loading a game you lose the bonus to morale due to a high quality planet. RAS
