Mebe it is just because i live in Australia, 'the land of the sense of humour' but in this country a grown man of 50 will still laugh at what a 14 year old boy laughs at! The day that a fart is no longer funny, will be a day to be remembered as a day of infamy in the history of mandkind. I'm from Aus to, 16 year old male, and I still manage to smile and giggle at the descriptions and event one liners, there good! I'm pretty sure that I spea

I play suicidal most of the time and its quite do-able without using an 'all' approach. I've never once played with an 'all' style, I'm always mixed. Admittedly it takes longer, I still have no idea how other players can win in 1-2 years on Suicidal Medium+ Map settings, but thats just my style of play. So to answer your question, yes, it is definitely possible. Fate,

Pretty sure although he said it poorly and in an un-logical manner, he has a very valid point. galciv2.com is a place for talk about the game Galactic Civilizations II and Stardock's other fine products, not whether or not we believe in God. I would really like to see either A) These post's not aloud or B) An option to stop anything posted in the Off Topic Forum showing up in the Recent Posts list. Sorry to be a downer, but I'm really fed up with the increasing amounts of Off Topic stuff I have

You should try emailing Stardock at this address and they might be able to help you, [email protected] They are very quick in their reply's. I beg to differ Neilo, I'm still waiting on my copy of DA and confirmation for pre-order TA, sent an email a couple of hours ago! It is something like 6am in the states though.. that probably doesn't help my noble quest to destroy/enslave/conquer the galaxy

Mate! I've been reading this since you started and I just wanted to but in and say, you ROCK! This is the best story I'm yet to read on GalCivII! Wow. Just, Wow. If you ever have the time to write any sequels to Diary of a Terran Soldier or another AAR I'm so there! Good work themacaw, Bloody Brilliant <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congrats.gif

Who here from Australia heard the Radio Program 'Cybershack''s review on GalCivII: DA? For those of you who don't get Australian Radio, it was a pritty impresive review, with the main emphisis of it being on the games playability on any type of machine, not just the top of the line gear. That's somthing new that I havn't heard anybody else talk about yet and I'm glad that they made a mention of it. All up, anouther excelent review, keep up the good work Stardock! <img src="http://im

EDIT: @Fate: Your reply, is the single most insulting and racist thing ive read so far on the forum here. Dont be that guy. If you dont like "European" Football, please say so in a less (way less) offensive manner or jog on. "Soccer is teh Suxx0r" would be just about acceptable. But only if you add a smily to the end of the line. Like this. <img id="ImageResize_Image_23" onload="ImageResizer.createOn(this);" src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif

Aussie Aussie Aussie! Hey from WA! I think its intentional like the Auto Survey function, so that you dont have to manualy micromanage it, as that could become a real pain. I agree though, it does need tweeking to stop it from building bases that will prittymuch imidiatly flip over to someone else.. thats just anouying! Fate,

You are all talking about blockading somthing, ie, a planet or half the galaxy to use yourself. However, wouldn't it be much more effective to stop te problem at its source? Being the enemy AI's homeworld. If you went strait there and blockaded that, it wouldnt matter how many collony ships they built, they couldn't send them anywere. I mean... why blokade one especily good planet for your exclusive use later on via a massive waste of resources when compared to one colony ship, when you c

The amount of time the freighter spends within the sphere of influence has no bearing on the amout you get as a bonus... its either 10%, 30% or 60%. the trade route only has to touch it. Not true. The bonus to the money earnt is applyed for every turn that the freighter is inside that sphear of influence, once it is outside it wares off. So therefore if you build the starbase so that the freighter is in the sphear of influence for the longest posibl

Nah mate that would be imposible, the lowest that it can go down to is One... But that would be cool... they would be completely stuck, not even able to retreat!!!!!

That planet sharing idea would make for much more interesting collony rushes! Like when the pesky aliens get to the planet just before yours gets there next turn, you can still land there and claim some of it... then fight them fore it It could be a little tricky to impliment though... and by alittle I probably mean alot! All awsum ideas!

Someone finaly agree's with the general comunity for there not being any great NEED for multiplayer, let alone it being a fesible concept! As kingmob said, the game simply is too time consuming for it to work if the other person will just rage when they start to lose, bot's dont do that!

nope, you should be able to send them back in, you just cant send them anywere outside the area by *clicking* outside of the range.
