So this is the reason why the Altarian's have the only female Avatar. It all makes sense now! Obviously, the Altarians need to move to a more mature relationship. They should be at the point were they simply tell you what is best and let you know that you are at war, rather than bothering to ask you. They are probably thinking that they can still change you by asking you to make the right decision, give them a couple more patches and they will be satisfied with simply telling you....

Speed absolutely matters. The quicker you can have high pop/econ/military/research the more points you will get. Anything before ~2227 is very valuable. Anything before 2229 is still pretty valuable. Past that, you can't increase your scores with anywhere near the efficiency of the early years. Also, if you play Gig, Abundant all, you will see a dramatic increase in planets (for DL 460-475)...And thus points.

My gripe is only when you have someone post a about something (like this) and then, less than a week later, having users start to impatiently say "I can't believe Stardock hasn't fixed this!" As if, by magic, a post on a forum trsnaltes into an update a week later. Ok fair enough, impatient we may be. But posting on the forums about bugs as aposed to emailing to bug reports is about 3 times more effective.

I think evil choices should contain both a bigger positive and a negative. That way evil can gain a short term benefit, but because other races view their activities as an indication of the potential danger they represent, a little suffering on the diplomatic front. So instead of say +30% to PQ, make it +45% to PQ and -5% to diplomacy.

You shouldn't really drive 80 on the freeway when you are in the same lane that traffic is trying to merge into....Around here you sometimes only get one or two dashed lines. You simply can't get up to 80 in that kind of window. I agree, that is what the inside lanes are for. What I am talking about are those who try to merge going around 40 mile

there also seems to be a bunch of people reporting crashes to desktop following the upgrade to 1.5. Myself being one of them. See the bugs section. I'd love to patch down to 1.4 to be able to play at all. Is that possible? If you want (are willing) to lose DA...I don't see any real reason you couldn't pull the game completely off your system, reinstall and download from the download link off the website (not SDC). There is a rare autopilot bug like this. I've had them on several occasions decide to travel to a random place on the map. I've seen this most frequently after a game load. There is an even rarer one that I refer to as the "Drunk Autopilot".
