Like the hull specialization idea.

I hate the U.P. laws that are permenant, I mean only being able to get 2 modules on a starbase, hell I just leave the damn U.P. . How does a supersmall oginazation, that doesn't even have a HQ, have the ability to enforce laws, and trade, amongst the massive empires that have huge chunks of the galaxy. It's like saying in real life, a nation has to be in the U.N. to be able to trade.
Awsome? those ships in the movies look like something with one or two structuers on it. With more experiance in ship building you'll be able to make some kickass ships, and besides, you feel a lot more proud when your using ships that you made.
I agree with doomfest, i've wanted some really big heated battles with thousands of ships.
I think that carried fighters would be great, imagine how cool it would look to see a squadron of mini-fighters flying out of a hangar on a massive ship, and that would add to realism too, imagine how much the pilots of those fighters must stink, they're in those fighters for the whole game time, usually a decade, and where would they sleep?
The Drath have a free 50% defense, 50% espionage, 25% diplomacy and 25% something else (I forget what) 25% to military production.
Oh we are so evil, his computer is being screwed and that's our comedy!
I don't get those money wasting astonomers, they say that pluto isn't a planet, well then, why is jupiter or saturn a planet, all they really are is a big lumb of gas, someday they're going to say that the sun isn't a star or that the universe isn't even the universe , god forbid they do something worthwhile, it wouldn't matter if pluto was a planet, or astroid or god almighty. <img src="http://images.star
Which is something i never really grasped with GCII as i always thought that if you put a big metal plate in front of you then you are gonna know the capability of said lump of metal. If it has say a defense of 5 then against a known offensive item (IE rock) it will give you 5 points of defense and not a random generated number instead. However like i said i never full
Just like Coastie74 said mostly anywere between 2.75 and 3.00, thanks bush, you bastard.
Why? The present system is very good. Why make it even easier when its already incredibly easy anyway? I never have range problems, even on gigantic with very rare everything. Why? Because it's his game, he can do pretty much whatever he wants with it.
and finally Evil: Attempt to ally with the dread lords, giving a chance for heavy bonus's and not being attacked (for a certain number of turns before they backstab you, giving you time to build up your forces for it) Hell just kick their ass, two pysionic beams are just as powerfull as the doom rays the dread lords use.
I need to build a go kart. You "need" a go kart, what is the mafia gonna whack ya if you don't have one?
My experience of GCII is that evil always looses. The only time that evil wins is when I'm playing evil. Well of course evil is going to win if you evil, when has good or neutral lost when your good or neutral?
It takes the dread lords a long time to build new ships and imrpovments, that's your advantage, and they don't use defenses so they really go down just like any other enemy.
Hell good doesn't really get good defenses, they get shitty defense techs, there's no good to taking defense tech, evil gets awe-inspiring weapons like the pysonic beam. Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb.
Damn slow down coffee head!
Gawd, that would take forever, and I have a hard time keeping my games under 10 years as it is. God i'm a barbarian, by the 2nd or 3rd year, i've already cut a bloody swath through the galaxy, guess it's because all the peaceloving hippie civs are next door to my civ, just can't bear to let those people on those planets live. <img src="http://ima
TC, multiplayer, but never bombardment. Frogboy hates the idea. Since when did you become the spokesperson for stardock? And your waaaay to certain, that there will be tactical combat and muiltiplayer.
I like it just the way it is, I would lose patheticly at this game if I was getting penelized for using beams, since the mass drivers and missles don't look like what they should. Dammit a railgun does damage by moving VERY fast, not by moving like an old lady!
Transport:- Ferry (does not invade worlds, transfers pop. around) People Carrier - massive fast ships I use to shuttle people around the empire. *Not* for invasion, since these beasts are expensive and you lose invasion shi
One of the main reasons I put money into espionage in this game is to figure out where enemy ships are going so I can counter them Huh? espionage doesn't help you see enemy ships.
GC2 has no tactical combat or muiltiplayer because the devs want to focus on other parts of the game, either that or they simply don't like tactical combat.
I only build econimic starbases around planets for the production increase, I almost never use military or influence, since in my games, I already research phasors and barriers by my first war, and any wars that ever do happen before that, I can easily hold the line, and I simply (almost) never have a problem with influence, and I never bother with flipping planets or going for influence victory.
Actually Evil doesnt always win In GalCiv2 it does!
