Take out humans and force sensitives abd add Empire and Republic or Rebellion I think he was doing more of a thing with allowing you to play as different races instead of factions.

Just so you know the creativity bonus gives you a chance to research two techs at once, for example if your researching lasers, once you research it there's a chance you'll get lasers2 at the same time, it can really help speed up early level military tech research (as it really seems to work only with weapon and defense techs).

The iconians are a good race, most all races have a starting alianment, the drengin are evil, the arceans are neutral, and so on.

There's at least one other way to do it: pursuade another civ to attack your ally, and when the ally invokes the treaty, refuse to come to their aid. It's a little more effort, but you get the benefit of "Let's You And Him Fight". That's also the only way to break an alliance with a minor civ.

The AI thinks it's okay for them to build fleets of transport right outside your homeworld, and build numerous influence starbases so close they're orbital, but when you make one shitty fighter with a particle cannon ducktaped to the side thats not even outside it's hangar, they decide that you're preparing for a massive invasion on their worlds.

yep, when you buy a modern game, you must pay twice, one for the game and one for the video card. That's whats great about consoles, you can almost go a decade without buying anything, all you got to buy is the games, and consoles are waaaaaaaaay cheaper than computers.

Don't use fighter, use cargo hulls with as many weapons as you can put on them, the hit points of fighters isn't going to help against 200 beam attack.

it can't be, a draw? it will never happen, or you lose or you win, there is nothing between this... It can happen, it's happened to me before (never say never). When it happened to me, when I went to the map my troops and transport, of course, weren't there, but the population on the planer I invaded hadn't changed.
