Nope, no button...
Must be site specific as there is a button on GalCiv2 and a handful of other sites I checked. However I now notice that the recent posts (on a handful of sites) list is limited to a single page. Was this intentional?

Me like. (Testing from xp themes forum, does anyone know that this forum still exists?)
Ah ... Now I see Bara's reply. Must be a latency thing. It did take at least 5 minutes for it to appear. (Also testing reply from political machine forums)
Um ... Where is reply #75 to this thread? On page 3 the last reply that I see is my reply #74 and then Fuzzy's reply #76 as the first reply on page 4 but no reply #75. What's going on?
Um ... Did I miss the announcement about the links being provided to the source forum on replies and original posts? I just noticed this and want to say I think it's great. I think this has been something that's been asked about for close to three years now. I'm glad to see it finally implemented.

On the trading screen I see the other civ's have techs with an asterisk by them. What does that mean?
I'm pretty sure you're talking about TA here rather than DA since DA still uses a common tech tree for all races. My experience with TA is rather limited so I can't answer this question. Hopefully som

However it's been awhile since I checked in game and so I just did. You're right and the Wiki is wrong. 20% stays the same, 19% loses 10% pop. At least in the case of DA v2.01 which is the only version I tested.

First off I want to state that this is in no way a political post, it's strictly personal. Secondly I'm not accepting comments because this is a statement, not a discussion. The lie to which I'm referring was most recently repeated by Anthony R in Reply #33 of the since locked How do you feel the middle class is viewed? thread. This same lie has also been repeated by <a

Not that it matters one way or another, I've known some people that changed their nicknames more often than their underwear, remember Drengin? Anyway I just happened to notice your reply in the previous incarnation of this thread where you used the identical response on page 12 of https://forums.gal
Wow... so Mumbles' anti-Republican posts get nuked, but this anti-Obama one doesn't?
I nuked them myself. Once Kryo locked up Dark Knights thread they had no real benefit. Given that this thread was over a month old it was effectively nuked as well and dredging it up is really of no benefit. However you are correct in noticing a disparity in the treatment of threads based on their apparent political leaning. There's certainly nothing new in that. It also really s
Keep it coming, you crack me up.
The thing is that there is no real arguing with these folks. They don't listen to logical argument and respond to the points you make because they can't. They quote little quips out of your posts ignoring any real points you make only to respond to strawmen of their own design. They're trolls and you know the only thing you can do with trolls. In fact without the presence of someone like you or me their threads simply wither
What I think is going on is that there's a certain date (the beginning of the 7th year: 2231 in DL, 2232 in DA, 2233 in TOA) before which AIs will not ally with each other, similiar to how they won't exchange treaties at first. Once this point is reached the good races are the first to ally; one of the only real differences in how AIs of different ethics play is that good races cooperate much more with each other then the other alignments do.
That's certainly possible.
Used to be? Does that mean it doesn't work any more?
I never tried it myself which is why I qualified my response so I can't vouch for whether or not it used to work let alone still does, however there are many things that *used* to work one way that no longer do and so it's not *necessarily* true that whatever worked before will work now.

Indeed, it speaks highly of them and very small of you. But then you do that with your own bigotry.
Ah ... the king of do
You are talking about 6 years into the game and by that point I would expect that there would be few Ai's left to ally with one another. Could it be that perhaps by that time you're quite a bit stronger than any one AI or even perhaps stronger than the sum of all AI's together? In DL I did notice that towards the end of games where I was down to 3 or 4 AI's that they naturally allied with each other against me. This could merely be an example of the same thing.
This isn't about bashing a certain someone. This IS something that I think we should discuss, and I think it should be as a discussion, not ramming an opinion down people's throat. All I have to say to you is that it's pretty lame when you can't think of your own topic and are reduced to plagiar
Doubtful. It's been discused quite a bit but the game takes way too many hours to play and is way too complicated to ever be a good MP game. There has also been talk that an eventual GalCiv3 might support MP but when that would be is anyone's guess. There used to be a way to play a quasi hotseat game as described in https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Hot_Seat_Game .
I'm pretty sure that Stardock Central is no longer supported and that you need to install Impulse to get any current updates of the game. If you go to "My Account" and then click on the "Registrations" tab any registered versions of the game should appear along with a link to download Impulse ( http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup.exe ). Click on the link to install Impulse and once that's complete your
I'm still playing albeit quite slowly. It used to take me 4 to 6 weeks to finish a gigantic all abundant game. I started my current game on 6/26 and have no clue as to when I'll finish. It just seems that I don't have the consecutive hours to devote to the game that I used to have and so progress at some points can be very slow. Still, playing slowly is better than not playing at all.
Just wondering - it seems a bit odd that I have to give a reason why I edited the first post. But if I edit my reply - it just takes it. Shouldn't it be like that (just take it) for any editing of posts?
Actually it's more likely a matter of how the forum software evolved as opposed to something that was intentionally designed to be that way. Originally you could edit the OP or a reply only up until the point that someone made another reply. The thinking is that peo
