nice ships by the way Thanks by the way and since you mentioned the DA folder, you should concern yourself only with: My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\ships My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\Metaverse\ships

Sorry for being a bother but could you explain to me how to put them into the right folders correctly Sigh... *rubs temples* theres only 3 folders to place these into the DA folder. Ships, Ship, Ship Styles, and ship templates. Ok, you say there's 3 folders but you actually name 4.. Well, there are 4 relevant

There is a specific protocol for reporting bugs, but I don't know exactly how it works. You post the bug in a specific thread and send a log or something. Maybe Kryo could clear this up for you.

Did you copy the designs into the ship folder using subdirectories? That might explain why it didn't work. Just copy the designs (.xml and .shipcfg) straight in the appropriate ships directory.

I was just reading something in another thread about wanting more diplomacy options, which reminded me of the following: When a friendly faction begs me for help because it's being crushed by a mighty opponent, I sometimes bribe the enemy faction to make peace with my friend. I would like the friendly faction to recognize this gesture in words and/or improved relations. As it is now, I usually receive only insults because I did not provide money or techs on the spot.

Besides all the 'advantages' people see in this ability, it sounds totally crap (I haven't been confronted yet with this ability in DA). I don't want to dominate the galaxy by increased 'perceived power of my fleet' or selling worthless ships for scrap or using decoys or whatever. Cannon fodder can be suitable for a ruthless evil empire, but I can make cannon fodder myself without a Super

I would say, that idea sounds exellent and you are a genius! Where can I sign up to become a Splendid Chap?

Hold on to that towel Petrope, even though every game has its problems, galciv 2 is according to me and many others an example of how a computer game should be made and sold. I actually did install it, play it and update it (and then played it more and bought the expansion as soon as it was available ). This game doesn't have 'top level cloak and dagger type security'. You probably need assistance fr

Hi Zahkal, the Terran Alliance ships you're talking about are probably from the Terran Alliance Fleet designs I created. As I understand it correctly, you eventually got Pubmasters mod working but not mine? My ship designs do not require anything else than the Collector's edition parts, but there are some things you have to take notion of: - Dread lords and Dark avatar have their own seperate ship directories - Metaverse and regular games have their own seperate ship directories

I gave them all my ships and tech. They gave me all their planets. This seems odd to me, why give all your ships away, and why would they give you all their planets? Well, since it works anyway, I can understand your giving away your old ships to secure a victory, but still..

How can I make my Dread Lords ship templates show up under the 'templates' tab of the ship manager of Dark Avatar? There are directories called 'Ship styles' and 'templates', but copying my designs in there doesn't seem to work. I can only get my designs in DA by copying them into the ships dir, which makes them show up under the 'ships' tab in DA.

Variable starbases sound good, but I can understand the decision to make them only differ across types. Else you would have a hard time recognizing starbase types on the map. However, if there would be a starbase editor or something like that, I would immediately start designing all kinds of starbases!

The Alliance Victory seems to be a difficult concept to implement. It either seems to difficult or too hard. It's a shame, because I like this type of victory; defeat some bad guys, make some friends, live happily ever after. It's better than the technological victory, you continue existing as enlightened energy beings. I'd rather have a beer in the pub after my adventures. It's also better than an influence victory. Even though the victory is sweet because you can defeat an enemy

As for Starbases.... I believe they serve their purpose as they were intended and are fairly accurate. I have said this a thousand times. Starbases are huge, immobile fixed objects which would not be able to bring all of its weapons to bear on a single target. Where as a fighter is extremely small, and extremely fast, and has this huge immobile object to shoot at. Lastly,

I like the Alliance Victory, but found them hard to achieve (playing DL, large maps, tough). Now that 'tough' is getting easier for me, I noticed a couple of things. First, a (very) high military score (say 300) really makes a positive difference in their attitude towards you. For a couple of games I tried looking at the plusses and minusses in the faction report to improve areas where their attitude was negative towards me. This didn't work very well. Now I'm just being an overall 'nic
