Sorry about the "Add Registration" button guys. The Impulse devs do know about it and are working to fix the problem. You should be able to right-click in the white listbox area and go to "Add new Registration". That would be just like pressing the button. I've also heard other people state that the button is clickable, just not visible. I'm not sure about that as my version of Impulse has the button showing up. If you wanted to try clicking the non
What version of the game are you running? It is normally the first line in your debug.err file. Hey mheckler, Thanks for being patient about this. Let's see if we can get you fixed up.
Card Name: RADEON 9550 Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc. This will help with crashes and other oddities.
Debug Message: ERROR: (CD3D9Renderer) Failed to create a
You were right for thinking you should update the game if you are experiencing problems with it. It's definitely a good idea to post here as well. So the game is crashing and Impulse is crashing too? What version of Impulse are you running? (Click the ? in the upper right hand corner and go to "about Impulse" to find out). We'll get some Impulse devs pointed to this thread to see if they can help you. In the meantime though, you might try uninstalling Impulse a

Hey Tommy, Let's see if we can get this figured out for you... When you say "nothing happens", what exactly do you mean? You mentioned that you bought the game at a retail store but then state that "once you download it, nothing happens". I'm not sure what you mean there. So could you tell me what you've done so far?
Indeed. However without a sentence before the symbol, it's quite pointless. [e digicons][/e]
Please post the contents of your new debug.err file. It gets overwritten each time the game is run. Hopefully there will be something in there that can help us solve your problem.
?
What's the question mark for?
Your debug.err file says you are running version 1.0 of the game. There have been several updates to the game since then. Use Impulse to update the game and give it another go. Report back here and let us know if that solved your problem or not. If for some reason you don't have Impulse (our free downloading and updating program), then you can get it here (http://www.impulsedriven.co
I dont think 10 yeard old kids should be playing games like GTA, or other excessively violent ones.
We have the ESRB rating system, under which games like GTA are rated "M for mature". This rating is to signify that the game is most likely not appropriate for younger people (like the 10 year old you mentioned). Also, if you have a current-gen console, and create a username for that 10 year old, then he/she automatically can be kept from playing games that are rated abov
Could you post the contents of your "debug.err" file. It can be opened in notepad, and is located here: "Documents\My Games\PolMachine2008\" The file will have general computer info as well as game messages than can help us track down what your issue is. Thanks, ~C
Is the NVidia GeForce 3 Ti 200 supported?
The game requires a card that supports Pixel Shader 2.0, and DirectX 9.0c or higher. See here for more info. NVidia's cards do not support pixel shader 2.0 until you get to the GeForce FX (GeForce 5) or higher, as indicated here . Sorry to break the bad news to you, but yes your video card is too old. Perhaps it's time for an upgrade
The next time you get a crash, open this file: "Documents\My Games\PolMachine2008\Debug.err" in notepad. Copy its contents and paste them in a reply. Debug.err is a file that the game writes out every time you play a game. It will have general system information as well as game messages than can help us track down your problem. Please also include a description of what you were doing when the game crashed (ie. Loading a gamesave, viewing the credits, etc...). Hopef
Did this solve your problem, Simpilot?
I have added the details for an issue to the MainIssues.PM2IssuesXML file, but the issue does not appear in the game.
Well, you need to make sure you are modifying the right file. You most likely modified the file located at "The Political Machine 2008\Data\English \Issues\ MainIssues.PM2IssuesXML". At one point during development, the game did use that file. But then we created multiple scenarios and wanted each scenario to have its
While it never comes as any surprise to people that actually play video games, various state Governments continue to waste tax dollars by drafting laws to regulate the sale of videogames, only to have them deemed unconstitutional. You've probably read elsewhere about how this has happened in Minnesota , and <a title="Another Article by
so, Can I upgrade my video card? My game did the same thing
That's up to you. By getting a newer video card (that supports shader 2.0 or better), you'll not only be able to play our game, but other new games as well. If you have room for more RAM then that's always a recommended upgrade too, and easy to install. But in general, there is not much downside to upgrading your hardware, other than maybe the fact that it does cost you money.
Everything is okay and I played through a whole campaign already. Thanks for your support.
Awesome! Good to hear. :)
version 7.12.0010.1147 is the version you have right now. An updated driver would have a different, higher number. CodeCritter has already linked you to the page for your particular video card, all you have to do is find on the page a link for your appropriate OS - Vista. Let us know if you have any issues.
The digital version for the PC version doesn't seem to be available any more for purchase
Oh, bummer. It is on the 360 though. I know a few of us from the office play it on that as well when we're at home.
Yeah I know, minimum requirements. Do you have another computer you could play it on?
I borrowed Advance Wars for the GBA from BoogieBac like a year ago. I finally got around to playing it this weekend. It's pretty fun.
Strangely enough, I played Carcassonne. What a surprise find for me.
Awesome. Carcassonne is great. Digital version or board game? A few of us here at the office play the boardgame version every day at lunchtime.
