I have a few wb skins that use oversized start buttons (they are circular, not necessarily orb like): Captain America, Green Lantern, Daredevil, Blue Ice, etc. - also how about Mike Bryant's awesome "Arrow", "Ares", "Optix" and "Parsec" wb skins... - "Thallos" by KoL is another good one - and Alienware Xenomorph by Stardock Design is another excellent example Let me know if this helped. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 align=

6.5 million a week in interest? - hmmmm....I don't know how I could manage on that, I would really have to learn how to budget and live within my means, not sure if I could change my spending habits plus there's inflation to deal with......

I have this happen to me also on my winxp machine and I have several dozen different themes downloaded & installed from other wc authors along with my own. Windowblinds works properly for the most part as I can go through my list of wb skins and apply any showing up in my list, however there are those rare instances when I download a skin from the site and attempt to apply it after downloading it and it appears to go through the process of applying the skin but when it's done I end up in classi

Happy Canada Day from Winnipeg!!!! It's cloudy and looks like we'll see a bit of rain today here in the "peg" but hey it's Canada Day - even the weather won't bring us down today (unless we get another string of freak tornado activity like last weekend (9 tornado's hit southern manitoba last weekend - thankfully none in wpg, 1 of them was an F4 and I heard that it lasted nearly 30min., the others w

Here's a dumb question... Does anyone know why the two are related? - forgive my ignorance is if this is an easy question, I'm still a bit of noob when it comes to using skinstudio, why would titlebar height be related to taskbar quicklaunch & system tray icon size? I just don't see the connection. I know that they are somehow related as we shown the cause/effect above but I'm just curious as to why, not really a complaint just a question. While we're at (I don't mean

Q: I was in Australia in 1969 on R+R, and I want to contact the girl I dated while I was staying in Kings Cross. Can you help? (USA) A: Yes, and you will still have to pay her by the hour. - HA! Too Funny, I almost shot my morning coffee out of my nose after reading this one

As per Chris Null's article, he spoke with the "good folks at Seagate" about harddrive wear & tear and ... apparently starting and stopping is not a huge problem with harddrives any more, and they can be safely shut off and on in order to save power. According to Seagate, you can expect a drive to last for three to five years of running time before dying, though obviously many drives last longer. What's the big factor that causes drives to die early? Heat, s

A for website staff (admins, mods and everyone else) B+ for wincustomize users/members (for the most part this is an A as the majority of the user group on this site is top notch but there are few members on this site that bring the grade down a bit, I won't be mentioning names) A for skinning content B for website layout (I like the new site design, some areas could be tweaked a bit further but for the most part it's really good) - Overall this is a great site, I'm def

I'd love to see some more wb content on the site, June was a slow month, something like only 11-12 new skins uploaded to the site for June 2007 ... "Where oh where have all the wb skinners gone... where oh where can they be?" - Alot of the regular submitters from years gone by no longer submit content, I'd love to see some of their new work in the wb gallery (just in case any of you masters are reading this, hint-hint) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Sm

my machines are powered on only when I use them, when they're not in use they're turned off. Saves money on my electricity bill, reduces pollution, reduces wear & tear on machines. Turning computers on/off doesn't hurt them from what I know - been in this "business" for almost 20 years. I have however seen power supplies that have failed on units that are left on all the time, my brother-in-law used to leave his desktop pc on all the time until his power supply failed and started to smo
