There is an old WB skin that I love dearly, however, it's a bit antiquated (circa 2002). Is it possible to update it in Skin Studio, to conform to current WB versions? If so, how can this be done? Would I need to create new/additional graphics (because I doubt that I can)? Obviously, it would only be for my own personal use. I have already contacted the artist and requested (begged) for an update, but that was a long time ago, and so far nothing. <

I take it Cerulean Studios meets #2 and #3 criteria. I'm curious as to why they seem to be disinterested. Okay, so Kona beat me to the punch, and with the same idea!
Thanks Snowman, I had been wondering how to do that 3rd one. Testing... nevermind, didn't work
Congratulations and best wishes to everyone at Stardock! I posted here earlier, but it's no longer here.
After making all those changes, did you clear your temporary internet files before going back to your account page? Just a thought, sorry if you've already done that.
I think if you just put the URL without any HTML tags in your description, it will put the little globe and "Link" in its place, like here in the forums.
Thanks for your help as well Cavan1!
Thanks for pointing me to the tutorial. After seeing the part about assigning a new name, I realized there was a drop down list of the other OpusOS sub styles. Thanks again!
There is a WB skin that I really like to use, in compact start mode...however in the "places" section, a bit of the text label is appearing next to the icons. My icons are set to small and my dpi is "Normal" 96 dpi. I read somewhere else here that I can edit the skin in Skin Studio, which I will try to do. I have never used SS before, so...can anyone tell me where to locate the compact "places" graphic in the right window pane of SS? I can see the norm
Luster OpusOS (recolored) Light Blue Royale ...several others I can't think of right now
Same here, I downloaded and tried it for a bit. It took me a while to realize their "pixel layer" is the same as raster layer. Few other items (so far) that I'm not used to, since I use Paint Shop Pro. I already have a list started of issues/suggestions/questions. I agree with 47, it seems to be more of a painting app than a web-graphics design app. It has a decent selection of filters, and the vector tools are so-so, but I still think Paint.n
I recently downloaded RegCleaner http://www.webmasterfree.com/regcleaner.html ...it's small and simple, and works great.
Here is the link to Microsoft Power Toys Link
If there is one in the works, then it is in closed beta...unlike Jasc who used to let the users test the products. I've checked the Jasc/Corel forums and their websites, no mention of a version 10 (what kona said). That is really strange...amazon has a habit of offering pre-orders for things that are not yet announced or released (like pc games).
How about two categories? WindowBlinds and DesktopX?
#28 by Apprentice Double Zero Thu, May 19, 2005 4:15 PM I tried that but all I got was the edit scvreen with no submit button..tried 3 times before I just reposted the image..LoL.. DZ, I was able to see the image by copying the URL and pasting it to my browser address bar...also you might try
Thanks for the reply Bichur, yeah I was about to try it anyway. I don't think I've ever seen a .odock file before.
I was going to upload some ObjectDock icons, and the form noted a file type of .odock...am I no longer allowed to upload a .zip file containing the icons?
I love that animation GM! Kona, I've had that happen to me once before, where any smilies or .gif images were not showing. IIRC, it was something in my IE settings that was unchecked, when it should've been checked.
I get the impression he is trying to get by on the cheap right now Well, here's a link to a free download for a decent graphics program, which also supports layers. http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/index.htm
I have seen no mention of MS Digital Image Pro 9 as a tool for skin creation, and wonder if it has any practical applications for skinning as I am to receive a copy shortly? Also, I can access a copy of Paintshop Pro 5 and can this be useful as it is an older version than those used by skinners here? s
Not watching anything right now...but I did catch an interesting show on MTV last week, Pimpin My Ride. It's pretty funny, and cool what they do to people's old cars. I don't normally watch MTV though.
For #3, I found a wrist band with curly (phone type) cord and clip on the end, at Radio Shack for about $3.00
This is my follow-up post to my original one...I just got my CPU back, with a 500W power supply installed. I hooked everything back up to it, and booted. That was smoothest, fastest, and most complete bootup I've seen on my old system! So it seems that the power supply was indeed the problem. <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALI
I hope they don't get rid of Dreamweaver MX. Sheesh, first it was Corel taking over Jasc (Paint Shop Pro), now Adobe taking over Macromedia....what a world, what a world!
