Actually, uninstalling SDC cleared up my systray problems. As far as I know, one does not have to have SDC installed to run other Stardock apps...as I've done that before. I do have a fresh download of SDC in my downloads folder, so I'll try installing that again...but may uninstall it afterwards (remembering to keep those files intact). Thanks for the rep
Thanks for the quick reply Corky...I finally got it to uninstall, had to open Task Manager and kill sdmcp.exe from running (which was causing it to hang). Now...here's a new problem...I went through uninstalling, and said Yes to all the files it wanted to uninstall. Rebooted my system, and while loading, I get a popup telling me "ODImg.dll not found, TGA & PNG image loading will be unavailable." Apparently one of the files that was deleted, was needed.
I have been having numerous problems with SDC, so I attempted to uninstall using Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. When I select SDC and click on Uninstall, I get a popup window that says "Could not open INSTALL.LOG file". That happens to me too...sometimes. That is in addition to my missing icons in my (regular) systray, but all the proper icons appear in my ODock version of systray. Strange.

Yeah, BlueDev is right, I just tried it myself...when I created a new tabbed dock it started with 4 tabs and 3 icons. You can put your cursor over the lower corner and drag/resize it to be a drawer. If you checkmark the "drawer" feature in the setup, and select right or left side, it automatically turned it into a elongated drawer. Thanks for the clarif

Have you tried right-clicking your taskbar, selecting Properties, bottom half of Taskbar tab click on Customize button, then find your volume icon and change the dropdown to Always Hide, then click OK. That's what I have mine set to, then it never shows.
How do i remove the recycle bin off the destop? TweakUI will allow you to hide your recycle bin icon from your desktop. It's a small program, part of Powertoys for XP. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Update: When I booted up my system today, all but one of the usual systray icons appeared. My World Time icon did not appear, so I closed it, then reopened it, and now all my icons are showing. yes, i've seen that thread. I have the three files copied into [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock], as well as my [C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral]. I do not have a folder called Downloads or SDCommon within my Stardock directory.
Same thing happened to me after I let Stardock Central update itself. I've tried everything, including copying the mcp files to the same directory as SDC...still no luck.
I found a thread with info on the Jasc/PSP forum, but can't seem to link to the thread directly...so I edited my previous post with directions to their forum. Hope it helps.

Diafragma, I've learned, after a few bad updates, to turn off the auto-update feature in SDC. I've had to restore my system once before when SDC downloaded/installed an ODock+ update.

For some reason the new SDC install deletes the MCP files from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock. It seems they have to be there for SDMCP to startup properly - I think it starts before the Start Menu->Startup items. I found them in X:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\Downloads\SDCommon ie. where your SDC
