Craig, who are you playing as? The cost in xeno Ethics is directly related to your "moral compass" at that point in the game, that is, a "good" race that decides to be evil pays 10k, neutral 2.5k, and 0 for good; or flip all that for an "evil" race. A "neutral" moral compass pays 2500 to go either direction. And to be honest, I think its really the Good civilizations that should get the morale bonuses (doing good deeds and whatnot, saving kitties, helping grandma); neutral gets research

if it wasn't for the fact that i dislike Southerners more than NASCAR...
(just offer him beer, lots and lots of beer)
lol, don't worry though, you may be pissing those Southerners off but they can't even find their home state on a map, let alone Canada (they keep mixing up Canada and Grenada)
WELCOME BACK!
pndrev, have you already submitted a game in the MVL Round 3 thread? if so, then sadly no, you can not submit another game. If however, you did not make ANY post regarding a game submission/score than yes you can. For example, my character Boilermaker has three games that i submitted to the metaverse all following the conditions set by this round. However, it wasn't until today that I submitted a game to the MVL Round 3 thread, which makes it official. At this point I am no longer able to try
the future of our team is in your hands and you're giving us 'butterfingers'? (LOL sorry, the moment i saw it, i heard John Hammond's voice in my head)
for sigs in the galciv forums do u have to input it into every post or is there for it to automatically appear?
i'm in. as some of you know already i was also invited to join the Galactic Diplomats, and i added the character "Nikonoclasm" for that one (i just haven't submitted a game yet). You should join the Tyranny of Evil I'm sure PlayJeff45 could be persuaded to give up some Altarian fembots as a welcoming present or Neilo ma
My submission for Round 3 for Team C Boilermaker MV Submission date 10/4/07 9:58:52pm Military Conquest Victory Game Time: 1 year Score: 15,400
hmmm, not gonna lie, was kinda hoping for a bit more responsiveness maybe I'll have to kill off my doctor, team leader, and some tertiary characters for dramatic effect in the hopes of boosting ratings
sa-weet. Now all I need is one of those nifty signature banners that lists what team i'm in and the altmeta scores. Advertisement and all that
TGE, you were supposed to remember to keep those chores done Hope all works out for ya.
what is this wheel you speak of? i just use my legions of union workers to get things where they need to be
i hope everyone realizes there is nothing bad about it if the MV Empire does reach the Top 10, which it should. The submittal of a minimum 20-30 games a month, even if low scores, will quickly make it rise in rank. In all reality, the empires, and the game too, were never supposed for those that just know how to play for points, it was supposed to reward those that worked hard and played often. I'm not disparaging those that have played for points, they have DEFINITELY worke
Chapter VII: The Shadow Fades The galaxy was in chaos. War was raging across hundreds of systems as the Dominion forces continued to strike out against the Thalans and the future Triumvirate. With the fall of the Arcean-Iconian Alliance, the Thalans realized what our course of action would be and promptly began attacking the worlds we held in former Terran space, attempting for the mass genocide of humans. The Altarians, beholden to their human brethren, quickly came to our aide, and
The empire itself neither adds nor diminishes anything from one's submitted scores. Since all rounds are based on an individual game, standardized for all members, the overall character score and the empire ranking means nothing. The MVL Empire only allows the commissioner and the vice-commissioner an easier tool in checking submitted games for a round. That being said, the MVL Empire actually has a good chance of quickly climbing the imperial ranks due to the high amount of g
Ok, I joined (Boilermaker)
don't make me break out the arrows to knock that Pols Voice out
I will grudgingly give you respect for your well-played game. Be warned however, that you may have made yourself a nemesis
ya know, i was just daydreaming, and i thought of a nice name for Team E if its created...Ethereal Egomaniacs, tho, in fairness we could call Team F "Fumbling Floozies" haha, but...from the Crusader's perspective its more like this: 'The Aaack-Team', 'The Blade Runner-Aways', and the 'Domination of Doo Doo'....but thats just cuz we're so great, i mean we're Celestial and Crusaders, our purpose is to defeat and subjugate the heretical pagan peoples of the other teams.
yes, go into the Customrace.xml file created, and you will find toward the top "RaceDescription" edit away. Also, while you have that open, remember to change the "ShortEmpireName" to something that is suitable for your race or otherwise the original race name will appear on fleets and in some dialogue tags (eg your Rag Tag Cooperative that you customized from the Torians, its fleets will still be called Torian instead of Rag Taggers LOL)
GW Swicord, I understand what you are saying but respectfully disagree...e.g the Terrans in DA with Super Diplomat are extremely well situated in being able to win a political victory rather than war-mongering Drengin. Winning such things with other (read: all) races makes the win that much more valuable and meaningful. Also, thank you, I hate searching through an entire thread for what should really be in the OP. The thread should be comments and thoughts, not the details itself. Sk
I changed the OP to reflect that "favorite race" must be won by using a DL race in a DL game (I submitted a DL game and immediately received the medal)
its ok, I like and agree with you; to be honest, I really feel that SHOULD have been the full spread from the start, i like shiny objects attached to my name
