Open Preferences and check the 'Automatic Updates' section in the Advanced tab, Uvah. Provided the Update Manager has not been turned off and it's NOT set to prompt you before checking for updates (in which case it will only ask you about once a week), an automatic check for updates is silently performed in the background once every 24 hours - and you're only prompted if a new version is found. If users stick to installation defaults regarding the Update Manage

Wow, that was fast. I love this Winstep Update Manager stuff (even though I'm suspect in saying this because I built it myself, lol). This is in preparation for the upcoming v11.6 release of Nexus, Nexus Ultimate and Winstep Xtreme. If anyone ran into a problem with the Update Manager update, please let me know ASAP.

Uvah, you can always press PrtScn - that will capture your desktop into the Windows clipboard. Then you can paste the image into a graphics program such as MS Paint and save as a JPG file. In multi-monitor systems, these even captures all screens at once. And what Doc said about customizing icons in Winstep is right, but there's a much faster way: just drop a TIF, PNG or ICO image file of your choice *into* the sub-dock icon. Personally I think you should only download from the original site (preferred method, since they might have important information, an even newer version and/or are trustworthy) OR from a reputable site like Cnet's Download.com . And yes, I have seen virus infected files proposing to be cracks for Winstep Xtreme, Nexus Ultimate, etc... Even though it would be poetic justice to let users who download those files get infected, those too get taken down

It got me a bit worried, since the current school of thought at Microsoft seems to be 'backwards compatibility be damned' (one of the major reasons why Vista was such a flop, although I personally used it and liked it). My apologies for asking this here, Spencer, but do you know if IconPackager already removes the Iconhandler sub-key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex upon uninstall even if the default Windows icons have not been restored? Reason I'm asking is because leaving that sub-key orphaned causes the infamous blank icons issue.
