Several recent studies indicate that pirates buy more product than non-pirates. Something to ponder.
Um, wow. And where did you get these "several recent studies" from, eh? I saw some other recent studies that say you're an idiot. Any truth t

I would have gladly made a judgement on the game if there was a demo but unfortunately there isn't one and the only one's at fault for not supplying a demo is Stardock. On top of that, Demigod's metacritic score is only a 77. If I'm going to spend $40 then I'm going to make damn sure
Quoting Protocept00, reply 22 I swear most Darkness forces use him. It's annoying. And I am tired of seeing the same combo over and over again. Spit, run, spit, chase + other UB moves sometimes. Ok, I may not be able to tell you how to beat the Unclean Beast players (and since he's my preferred Demingod...no offense, but it's not in my vested interest to tell you ALL of my tricks!!) but I'll help you with

I completely agree. I can't stand UB. Needs to be nerfed to hell and back. I hate that fucking demigod. He's uninteresting, and he's absolutely cheap. Everytime I fight on Pantheon as forces fo light the Dark side ALWAYS has a fucking UB. SO stupid. Spit needs it's range reduced and needs it's damaged to be more spread out.

I pick which favor Item I am going to use after looking at what Demigods the enemy uses. If they are using UB, I pick the favor item that gets rid of effects thus making spit useless. If the enemy are using rook or slower characters, I pick swift anklet (I am normally Reg)... It all depends on what map I am on as well as what enemies I am fighting.

Well to be fair... although Oak may excel at Fortress because of this, UB has a clear, dare I say it.... OP advantage in Domination. It works like this. Pick any character you want. Play Domination and verse all UB players. Now, watch as the UBs get to the flag before you do, creep before you do, and when you do fight them.... He'll kill you. No one is as effective in early game as UB simply because of spit. Since you are deprived of exp, the characters that can kick Ubs ass mid-late game, si

And I don't mean that in the end of a battle, I die, I mean I just seem to die in seconds. If I run, he keeps up with me. Heal, his diseases keep killing me. Stay and fight = I get in a hit or two before it's off to limbo for 30 secs. ONLY with the catlady do I survive, and that's only
What matters the most isn't the class in game, it's the person behind the keyboard. Decent players can make any class look overpowered. For example, last night I played in 3 games and each game had an Unclean Beast in them. Lost every game and logged off thinking that Unclean Beast's were way overpowered. Came back today with a new tactic and my first game was a 2v2, both were Unclean Beasts. They both went down pretty
Seriously, post a replay, it's going to get you the most quality advice. Secondly, have you conisdered consumables? I believe there's one that would remove UB's DoT (I could be wrong though) I'm probably not playing at anywhere near your level of competition, but usually I find that 1v1 I can force an UB to retreat as Erebus, and although he assumes his spit will finish me off I can typically get the health back by bitin

However, playing a domination match 2v2, the UB team always wins. Simply
Quoting Protocept00, reply 4Oak can take on One UB fairly fine at mid level, but two? FLUFFY BUNNIES no. That's horrible logic. No single character should be able to take on any other 2 demigods (Unless of course the level or gear gap is pretty large). It sounds like you need to work better with your partner. I don't think they can have two spits stacked on you at once. The best way to figh

Have you ever had the unfortunate experience of having to fight a UB pair? It doesn't matter what Demigod you use, a UB pair constantly spitting on you is gonna fucking kill you. You WILL have to retreat. Oak is excellent for taking on UB I've observed, but only ONE UB.... because when you use shield (which negates the spit effect) to protect against one UB spit, his teammate spits on you afterwards... shields cooldown is like 30 secs and at that point you're either retreating or dying. Nothi

Yes and it's FLUFFY BUNNIES stupid. I can't express my hatred for having to verse against a twin UB team who stick together and spam spit. THere's nothing you can do. Nothing. Oak is probably the only character with any chance of surviving that dumb shit but the problem is that he is weak in the early game... and since UB is fast and controls the map, you dont get any creep kills. It's just FLUFFY BUNNIES rediculous. At first I didn't think UB was really that overpowered.... but wow, after th

It's mostly UB. Aren't there strategies for taking an UB down? Personally, everytime I fight an UB I get my ass kicked, doesn't matter what character I am. I'm not saying HEs over powered, I'm saying some of his moves are. Spit is definitely overpowered, no ifs ands or buts about it. He's a melee attacker with the most powerful long range attack in the game. That's a bit excessive. They need to nerf the shit out of it. Reduce it's range, bump up it's cooldown time, bump up mana cost especiall

Pretty much every game where I spent gold in the citadel a long with my teammates, we won. A lot of people really underestimate the power of strong creeps. The stronger they are, the longer it takes the enemy team to kill them, thus stalling them, whilst allowing your team to keep pushing forward. A lot of players tend to forget that there's a whole battle going on in the field, and it doesn't just revolve around you or the other demigods. Little things like your stronger creeps beating the e

Pyapiopi, from what I've seen and get from it... they link to increase distance. I don't think it affects damage. I think it just links the towers together so that you can form a chain of attacks hitting further than if you didn't have a link.

Your version of the Rook Tower Strat more cloesly resembles mine. Rather than buying Heart, I buy mana regen items and equipment, to make sure I have constant a influx of regenerating mana to keep spamming towers. More than likely, if you play it right, you won't even need health items. Boulder throw is absolutely essential, when you can trick an enemy noob demigod into trapping himself into your tower farm, then turning around and Bouldering him. He's fucked. Not only is he being swarmed by

16 Replies 54,395 Views

A tactic to counter that involves regulus. Upgrade regs range and you can take the towers without recieving damage... combine that with wings and you pull off more damage. When rook comes out just keep harassing him, hell retreat, so then you snipe him... depending on whether he comes back or not, continue pounding his towers... if he retreats, pursue him... rook can't retreat worth shit. Laying some mines near the towers where rook is likely to camp is another way you can expound on this str

Freaking awesome, but Regulus already *kinda* fits the bill of Steampunk as it is. If you read his biography, and read about how he makes mechanical devices and stuff, then yeah. Although a fully fledged steampunk demigod would be sweet. But unfortunately I don't think it fits the game world enough.

Very good idea. This would no doubt help a lot of people, but also keep people more informed with the game and it's going ons. More information in the pantheon screen would be a nice presentation boost too. Kudos to topic poster for an obvious idea that I am surprised no what had mentioned yet on here.

I don't suck at the game, but at the moment I completely suck with Rook. That tower strategy sounds good. I guess I need to approach Rook differently and view him differently rather than as "charge in and smash". I'm a badass Reg though. ;)
