We posted a 'mini' update that should fix most issues, 1.15.048 If that doesn't help; You may need to manually remove the game folder, and delete 2 Registry Keys before you'll be able to re-install. Go to C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire (or where ever you installed the game) and delete the main folder. Then launch the System Registry (Start-> run, and type regedit) Look for and delete the following Keys; HKEY_LOCA

Blitz, Thank you for this work around until IronClad gets the GF Maps working again. What you say is true, it has been reported that now since Entrenchment is fully released, IronClad IS working on fixing the Map feature.

First, Be sure to save your theme before doing all of this. Please unload/quit ObjectDock so that it is not running, and then go to Start > Run... (Start > Start Menu Search in Vista) and then copy this into the command line: for XP: %userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock for Vista: %userprofile%\AppData\local\stardock\ It will open a file folder. Delete any ObjectDock or ObjectDock Plus folders. Then restart

The WB Skin's reverting to 'Classic' (ugh) is usually caused by extra 'security' apps, like SpyBot, AdAware and the like. Even some anti-virus applications can have their own 'spybot' functions, and Firewall settings. Check your system (SysTray) for any of these 'watcher' type programs and try to turn them off, then try applying a Skin and see if it takes. If this doesn't help, write to us at [email protected]

As an employee of Stardock, I applaud and give a rousing 'Huzzah!' to Blair and all the hard working folks at IronClad. One should not need a warning to not be a spammer/jerk/id-iot.
