You should send in a Support e-mail and include your debug.err file; Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a Support Ticket to [email protected]. Hello, You may need to manually remove the game folder, and delete 2 Registry Keys then try a re-install. Go to C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire (or where ever you installed the game) and delete the main folder. Then launch the System Registry (Start-> run, and type regedit) Look for and delete the following Keys; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net

I suggest un-installing the Gators Theme, rebooting your PC, then try a re-install. The TaskBar not skinning is usually some 'extra' security app running in the background, most often it's spybot or AdAware, or something similar. Shutting this down, then applying the theme should work.

Download this replacement stardockweather.ocx file: http://sd.stardock.com/ken/stardockweather.ocx You might want to search your harddrive for the file and rename it to something like stardockweather.old before bringing over the one from the link above.

Try closing Impulse and running the following file: http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg Make sure to follow the link in Internet Explorer, as other web browsers will not handle the file type correctly. Once you follow the link, save the file and double click it to apply it. Then relaunch Impulse. You will need to re-login with your username/e-mail (either will work) and password.

When we send you an e-mail from Sales (the one with your game serial number, et. al.) there is a statement advising you to uninstall any trial or free versions before installing your paid for copy.

It sounds like Impulse is having trouble connecting to our servers. This can be caused by extra 'security' apps, like SpyBot, AdAware and the like. Even some anti-virus applications can have their own 'spybot' functions, and Firewall settings. Check your system (SysTray) for any of these 'watcher' type programs and try to turn them off, then launch Impulse and see if it connects. If it still fails, run the file below and copy & paste the results into an e-mail to suppor
