Sure, there is a chance that the alligator might do something unexpected, but there are many situations in which we place babies that could result in their deaths: driving (always a chance for crashing to one's death), flying (always a chance for crashing to one's death), taking them to the mall (always a chance of psycho terrorist), petting zoos (i.e. animal goes crazy and kills everything in its path), etc. Sure, the baby was in some danger, but babi

Well Michael Moore, let's face it, accusers should have some integrity before they go condemning others. Who in here would sympathize with Adolf Hitler if he went on national television and criticized Rush Limbaugh for being racist, besides the liberals?
Free software always saves money, but at the cost of time, which is sometimes more important than money. Some of it's good though, such as Mozilla, but GIMP can't compare in any way to PS or even PSP.
Welfare is what keeps the poor around, which brings the statistical percentage of upward mobility down. Before, in the fifties, it wasn't as much of a problem, since poor people did not have as much opportunity to sustain their livelihood. What I'm saying, if we want statistics to look good on upward mobility again, then we have to kill poor people. After all, compare a place that helps the homeless such an California with a state without any help for homeless people. Which one has a worse homel
If anything, I think that's what justified it for me. Saddam had many chances to do what he needed to do, and he blow it. Maybe it'll set an example for any other dictatorship to cooperate lest they want to be destroyed as well.
I agree with that. I would never support a draft for this war, unless the United States itself was jeopardized. At least then, I'd die for a reason more noble than political.
I think something that contributes to this decline is all the social welfare programs, which helps keep people alive that would normally no longer be around before. While others are progressing as usual, these people, who would be dead otherwise, are making it seem as though the quality of life for everybody is worse. Therefore, the solution to this problem is to cut social welfare programs. After all, California's full of homeless people because of its welfare programs, while other states that
People should be able to do whatever they desire with their own land, but as is said by many here, there are reasons why their usage of their own property is regulated, although it might be ridiculous to demand that property owners follow certain guidelines concerning saftey, environment, etc.
I didn't know that America put these people in power to do battle with America. That seems silly.
I'm curious as to what other countries have drafts imposed. I remember hearing that people in some European countries (i.e. Germany, France, etcc.) must serve in their military when they turn a certain age.
Nothing can be stopped, as all crimes will continue, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to fight it. Liberals might prefer to surrender rather than do their best to minimalize terrorism, and for that reason, liberals will continue losing support.
I agree completely with your article. It is funny how Americans are being criticized for what the French, British, Mexicans, etc. would do if we went to their country and demanded that our culture be above all others. I also want to add that another reason I do not condone people entering America illegally is that it's a slap in the face for all those immigrants that go through the steps to become U.S. citizens.
That's a good point. Have there been any democracies that have been created in a year in countries such as Iraq that have lasted?
The thing is though, nobody pays attention or respects the KKK anymore, does anybody?
I think the difference is that, at least in my opinion, the loudest conservatives are not as wacky as the loudest liberals at the moment.
I've had one problem with eBay, but was able to resolve it with the flakey seller. Vigilance is key to ensuring that you aren't ripped off. It's also wise to read everything and beware of buyers with negative feedback from people who sound trustworthy. I'd happily give negative feedback to bad sellers because bad feedback from bad sellers means nothing to a reasonable seller, and vice versa with buyers. Besides, most bad sellers tend to be bad sellers with more than one buyer, and it will show i
Well, what I know is that the cost of not shopping at Wal-Mart would be lost jobs for everybody who works at Wal-Mart.
I agree with Changeling. The government might think that you were actually involved when those things did happen. You might have to first convince them that you are from the future, so be sure to bring your sports almanac!
I'm not sure. It's possible that they're all male or that only an insignificant minority of them are female. I read that, and I have no problem with making them pay their own fare. After all, they weren't able to follow the rules, so they should pay for it.
Maybe it's me, but I always thought that invading Kuwait was a bad thing, but I guess they might have deserved it. I also can't feel sorry for Hussein, as he was more than reluctant to show the UN what it wanted to see for years. If he cooperated with them in the first place, he might still have had Iraq. Although Bush made some exagerations, I don't see him as being more of a threat than other clearly evil leaders simply because he's a Republican.
Liberals definitely do complain quite often. Personally, I think it's out of boredom. Fighting for superficial causes gives them something to do.
They probably only applied it to women and not the men because unless I'm mistaken, the foreign workers are all men. If there's a significant amount of women though, then it is sexist, but otherwise, it's just Israel's way of protecting its own interests. It's not as if foreigners have nowhere else to go for work.
When I obtained my first credit card, I didn't sign it because I thought it was safer, but eventually I did sign it, but it was not until today that I noticed that "Not Valid Unless Signed" message below it. I guess since people can forge signatures though, that many, including myself, don't feel that signatures are good enough.
Personally, I'd happily shop at another store, but only if people who desire me to shop at other more expensive stores would pay the difference for me. If they can't do that, then why should I? I have nothing wrong with a company that isn't unionized being at the top of the game. It's not as though we have the money to start investing and shopping in upper class marekts.
I've never understood why some people feel the need to become evangelical over atheism. As somebody said on Adequacy.org: "As my young [atheist] friend refuses to accept the existence of demons, much less the idea that he is sparing my bottom from the prongs of their infernal tridents, I can only assume that his motive is to annoy."
