Yep. Appears to be offline. If you want to check it quickly without attempting to log on, you can click the "Metaverse" button on the left of these forums. Currently giving a "Service Unavailable" error. Once that clears up, it'll be a good indication that all's well again. Oddly, I can ping the metaverse, but the traceroute times out. From that I assume that the server is alive, just not responding. Edit - Ping isn't getting through now either.

What does a senator get to do anyway? Essentially, we're the first to feed on the souls of the newly vanquished. Other than that, I think we can invite poeple to join the empire or something like that.
Is it ok to have two characters in the same Empire pls say it's ok. Yes, you can. My "Evil Twin" character joined very early in the empire, but I later brought my "Motti Khan" character over. Some have a regular character and a League character here too.
We had agreed very early on that to be granted Senatorship one must post 10 games with the empire. Now that is not concrete, i am not even bothered if some people choose to post very few scores, i'd just as soon have a healthy, vibrant thread that is not collecting dust. I've been meaning to talk about this one, so this is a good opportunity. My Motti Khan and Evil Twin characters are senators, but only one needs to be. I'd like to give one of those

Meh. I could extend it another year or two to increase the score, but I don't feel like it. The chips fell at year 6 using this strat, so I ended it there. I'd rather go for speed than points, but I can't get it under 2 years yet. Yet.

One rule I would like to see change/clarify, regarding bonus points. I think bonus points should only apply to games that follow the correct victory condition. For example, in the current round, one could forgo the tech victory, and submit a military victory. They would only get 1 point for victory of incorrect type, but due to differences in scoring it would give them a much higher score and possibly 3 bonus points. By saying bonus points only
