Be forewarned, we have bred a most-vile strand of the "Rosie Clone". It is impervious to spores, nukes, pies, and pretty much anything else you can throw at it. The only thing holding it under control is the Tyranny. Should you spore us, know that the "Clone" would spread to every world in an unstoppable fashion, bringing about your own demise as well. Do you really want THIS taking over your planets??? [IMG]http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd96/ArcLightning/rosie-oterror.jpg[/IMG
Piznit
Haha, draft picks. Thats would be funny. Trading a future 1st round pick for an up and coming MVL All-Star?

It must be all the kitty litter clogging the website ...soo...many...cats...to...keep...up...with... ;)
Might I recommend you not take the minor as soon as possible. You should give them advanced computing and xeno economics as soon as you can and let them build a tech and econ capital before you pillage them ;)
Question: Does mining a resource extend your range? Or does it have to be a starbase? I typically only bother with the smaller maps so life support and range are rarely, if ever, researched.
I did something similar in one of the earlier MVL games but the other way around. I seem to remember having a round where you had only 1 or 2 opponents, with the minors set to random. So there ended up being 3 stars that had 7 minors assorted on them. So I basically rushed to planet invasion and took out the other AI opponents first (except for some small planet they colonized). Then I came back through and took out the minors, since they sit there and basically do nothing but buy my stupid
Thats a new one to me. Can you see the little white boxy lines designating where your ships can travel to? Does that show up at all? Because occasionally in DA I'll get this weird little bug where my ships will have movement points left and be right next to a planet but it will give me the "run in the dark" line about being too far away. I just reload the game and it goes away. Another silly question, but are you simply researching the life support techs, or are you also adding life
Was it "Star Wars"? I think it comes on at 9PM CST, Mondays on Discovery Channel...
All-factories works with tech trade off. Being a bully to the AI is just one method of getting techs you want. Another is called invading planets. You'll steal the techs with your mighty military production of slightly substandard units when you capture the enemy's planets.
You guys have been cranking games out. Ares, God of War, is woefully lacking in his participation. I must rectify this problem. P.S. Rectify? Damn near killed em!
If it has yellow or red tiles, yes
The high score also comes from the fact that when you are evil, your Starbase upgrades are free. When you are making a huge SB array of 20 or 24 Starbases and adding 20 or 30 modules to each of them, that makes a HUGE difference, which reflects in your score. And yes, the MCC helps score, also. And the more planets the better, since it seems to grant the bonus to your overall econ, not just the planet it is on.
maybe he likes asteroids!
Which game? DA or Twilight? I think they work differently between the two versions. If my understanding is correct, in DA all creativity does is give you a little bit of "free" research each turn. Whereas in TA, if it triggers you actually finish the tech right then.

for some reason your text in that post is getting smaller and smaller, hard to read for us fogeys!
in my gmae it said "woe to all the dread lords have arrived" and so far nothing has happened lol
Most likely you just haven't found them yet. Not sure if the planet they get is a previously uninhabited one, or if they "steal" someone else's.
First strike only triggers when you attack. You shoot first, deal damage, then whatever is left fires back. Thats probably why you still took some damage. I believe it is also only on the first volley. You dont get first strike attacks each round of combat, just the very first round.
I in fact did that to read your post!
My point was simply that whether downloading is theft or not is NOT a legal question. Therefore it must be a moral one
Actually, whether it is theft or not IS a legal question. Whether or not it is wrong in the eyes of your's or the public's values and ideals would be a moral question.
Ahh ... now this is a better definition. But wait a second - you mentioned TAKING something that is not yours. Yes, I imagine most people would agree that this constitutes
And if you are playing with slow research or have such terribly funded labs that it takes 25 turns to research something, then it would be a good thing. Yet again, this shows that it is all situational, and there is no best. That one point for creativity could also make your warships 12.5% stronger if added in Luck. Or it could add THOUSANDS of BC per turn to your income depending on the number of planets you have if it was applied to morale or econ instead. Of course, the original p
For example, it costs 4 points to get +20% research, 1 to get +1 sensors, and 3 to get +20% economics. On the other hand, you get +20% research and +1 sensors through the Technologist political party and +20% through the Federalist party. Which means you can get +20% economics, +20% research and +1 sensors for either 3 points or 5 points based on how you go about doing it, making one way clearly better than the other.
Unless the "tech" or abilities you are getting are wor
I forsee many tech victories in your future young padawan
Warrior is "eh..so - so". You get first strike (When attacking, not defending) menaing all your ships shoot first, then whatevfer is left alive, shoots back. Just on the first turn. Hive = cheap factories. So they buy faster and build faster. Hard numbers I dont got, but they are cheap. Breeder - I think its a 8x multiplier to population growth (per planet) when you are at 100% approval. Isolationist - Enemy vessels move at max of3 spaces per turn regardless of spe
