Don't ships get some sort of additional bonus if they are in orbit around a planet and under a SB? Or is that something I was dreaming? And thats ignoring things like the added HP structure or the Spin Control, I know those have to be in orbit for the bonus to apply.

Wow, sorry...I was catching up and didn't notice the date. Sorry I'm so 80's. I wasn't trying to muddy the current issue.
To what Vilgan proposed in reply #109, instead of having another player submit 2 scores, why not count the lowest score twice? That way you dont get a zero, but you do get a minor penalty, and you eliminate the chance of the "second" score being a monster 100000 point game...unless everyone scores that on the team
So precursor (+700) and a +300 seems to be the highest so far on one planet. Anyone got a screenshot of something higher?
Join a group that dosent need a gimmic lik making every1 senators to be great, the Yauja empire!!! support the greatest alien race in existance, the Predators!! Senators and congressmen are evil, so the more the better for the Tyranny of Evil...
They werent empty hulled ships... More like large hulled ships with about 100 beam strength )
I like aiming for trade goods. I tend to use small/tiny crafts more so than mediums, so I really like micro repair bots, they repair quickly. And diplomatic translators are great. I know a lot of people like the power of aphrodisiac, and I will build it but its not a high priorty.
No Name McGee: It didnt take much longer, what was irking me was the fact I had slow transports, and I would wipe out the home fleet defense, and there would be another large hulled ship I had to "suicide" kill the very next turn. Happened like 4 times...I kill it, it would build another, I had to fly more kamikazes over there, kill it again, repeat.
So I was having the damnedest time conquering the last few Korx planets. They kept cranking out these freaking battleships in 1 turn, and I couldnt understand how they were doing it. Finally, I conquer a planet and this is what I see... Why can't I ever get planets like this? Ive
NeuralTech: Its because the AI will still not be as effective as a human player. Granted, it gets "better", but it still has difficulty adapting the way a human can, IE building over structures you dont need, focusing production in one of the 3 areas, choosing the right research for what they need at the time. Ive taken over colonies that consist of 3 farms, 2 entertainment buildings, a factory, a research coordination center (with no labs), a power plant, and an economic ca
Anyone have a screenshot of a ship they built that actually looks like a wooden horse? That would be a Trojan Horse...
Welcome Kiznit He's Kzinti, I'm Piznit. On the MV subject of the bonus points, I think it was mentioned earlier, but having the points apply to each victory condition promotes better team competition. If it was only 1 bonus award for score overall, whoever is completing the tech victory or influence isnt really gonna care much because you pretty much
hmm, I lost one of my icons, Im no longer neutral, but the chaotic evil one isnt showing up either! Lame...
I agree with the "For" vote, so add another tally on that side if it makes any difference.
Small hulled ships are fun! They make great kamikazes that are cheap. Get a few levels of mini, slap an ion engine or a warp engine on that puppy and blow stuff up. On a side note, I did play the Yor once and made ONLY tiny hulled ships. It was a lot of fun, swarming enemies with a load of little bugs. Occasionally you get the 3 or 4 fighters that would live through some battles and get a lot of exp and they turned into super fighters <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/s
Im not playing on suicidal yet, currently on crippling, but when you are trying to colonize that many planets, and are building all factories on HW, I would move diplo techs for trade and government techs up in priority. Get the freighters out faster for more income in trade until population catches up and trade is less vital. You'd be suprised how it really helps to offset the negative cash flow you wind up with when overcolonizing. Also like Purge mentioned, each time I move up in d
You encouraged thinking and learning. Theres your mistake. Not very evil of you if I may say so myself.
No, but 1000-1500 per turn is. Especially on smaller maps with less planets where you arent making 10000 BC each turn. Even then, thats a 10 to 15 percent increase. This has been discussed several times in other threads.
Is this officially the longest thread on the forums? If not, lets go for it! As for the forgotten birthday...lots of brown nosing...lots
Thank you, that was getting really annoying
Only thing different is I put it on Battle of the Gods. Does that change the planet names? Never did before
What files need deleting to reset the races to avoid flags for metaverse? No matter what I do in the set up clearing the AI's, it gets flagged as illegal for the metaverse. I cant seem to fix it.

Right, I meant the score listed next to my character, the one that "ranks" me as 236 or whatever. I understand a nonmilitary victory results in a lower score for that individual game, no prob. But I suppose my total character score is from some sort of equation, yes? At first I assumed it was just an average but that cant be right, the math is obviously not supportive of that. But I never thought posting victories would lower the score, just perhaps not raise it as high as a su
I think its the event you have to choose about allowing a roller coaster ride to remain open. It improves morale, but peoples hearts explode, lowering the population if I remember correctly.
