It doesnt work as well on ToTA. In DA/DL the trick is your focus factor. With all-labs, you leave your sliders at 100% research but put focus on social on the planets where you need buildings, and focus on military where you need ships. Money is definitely more of a problem with all labs, so econ is key. Gotta research those government techs and econ techs and get your population growing quickly.

If I understand you correctly, you are building influence starbases in "unclaimed" space, does that mean empty space? You need to have SBs near enemy planets, not empty space. And max-level logistics isn't something you need (other than at the very end to save cash for extra starbases). Research the yellow techs instead, and don't forget your government techs, they give influence as well. If you see minor races, conquer them. Those PQ 15 planets exert a good amount of influence flip

They help increase your military value, and therefore AI's dont pick on you and start wars as much. Also, stacking them, while costly, really boosts your military score and your final MV score (if the metaverse matters to you). And at least once you should build like 20 of them and add all the +1 speed modules and slingshot your ships across the entire universe in 1 turn. Thats always fun!

Even if it does reset, your score is calculated as though on cakewalk, but your MV profile will still list it as whatever you started out on, like tough, orbscene or whatever.

PQ means tiles on your planet to build things. The PQ number directly correlates to the number of tiles you have. +1 would mean 1 extra tile, while +10% would mean 10% more tiles, so a PQ 30 would go to a PQ 33.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. It was ok, nothing special, although I have the nice 50 inch HDTV with 1080p and nice surround sound and the opening sequence of the game is really cool
I tried to create a Beholder and the stupid thing keeps falling to the ground when I go to test. I wish I could give it a float property because wings just wouldnt look right.
Yea, I was forced to add wings if you want it to float (sorta makes sense I guess). If you dont, it just falls to the ground and rolls around, so a beholder might be tough to figure out. You can always add wings, minimize them as small as possible, then rotate them so they are "inside" the body wh

I wanted to comment on something someone mentioned earlier, I don't know if it has been addressed or not. But, you CAN make flyers in this creature creation thing. I made a quick little "wasp-type" creature, and you can even get it to attack with its "stinger". 1. Simply lift the body in the air, adjust the spine thickness to get your body and thorax, and add some wings from the extras section (whatever is after weapons). 2. Add and arm (not a leg) where the stinger would b

Yea, and that is the power of super-Breeder, but it works very well for others as well. If you will start to look at your starting cash, not as money to be spent on ships and buildings, but as a buffer until your population can actually support you, you'll be up and running in no time. And in that rare case where it just isn't enough, you can also lower your production slider until you are positive cash flow. Then each turn you can see how much your economy grows by the number of incr

1. Either where a trade route bisects the SB's AoE closest to the diameter of the starbase, or somewhere where a planet(s) is under the AoE to maximize the production bonus. 2. Sure, doesnt matter. 3. See #1. 4. I dont think so. 5. Yes. 6. Click the starbase.

The actually placement of the slider in relation to another is flexible. For instance, you can have 50% social and 50% research, and those 2 sliders both be all the way to the right, or they could both be in the center of the line, yet still be 50%. When you click on the arrows to move them left and right sometimes you get big jumps like that, especially if one area is at 100% previously. Most times I try to "grab" the vertical slide bar and move it until it is set where I want it.

Yes and No. You can modify your starting alignment between 0 and 100. 0 being angelic and 100 being demonic. Altarians, at default, I think are a 1. But as a custom you can be whatever you wish. On the other hand, I *think* taking the Altarian tree means if you don't choose good, you won't get those ethical techs like the creative bonus, righteous justice, etc. Also, it could mean if you are leaning toward evil and you DO want those techs you get hit with the BC penalty depending on how fa

Several things do seem to be quietly "changed" and espionage is definitely one of them. I remember in DA if you placed 3 spies for just a week or 2 you would achieve "Low" level spy status on a race. Now I have to do it at 2 or 3 times that amount to reach the first level. As it is in TOTA, especially with the tighter econ. I tend to only make spies when I need them to counteract a spy on one of my tiles.
look up the science, discovery, and history channels on your tv,there educational and since im younger then i remember what i learn better.
Haha, where to start on that "sentence"... Learn grammar, then spelling, then typing, then explain how it is you think you "learn better" because you're younger. And how do you know someone else posting isn't younger than you? :D

If you try to do espionage on a minor race, like placing a spy, you'll get the "don't waste your time" speech from whoever *really* runs your empire. Which is kind of annoying. I always thought I ran my empire. If I want to know what those damn squirrly Snathi guys are doing, or where they are stashing their foodstuffs, I should be able to do it.
