Skinner kona0197 hit it right on the button. I have done both Dell & Gateway (many moons ago) and found that it costs ALOT less to build from scratch. I have both and HL2 is by far the better of the two. You can play HL2 offline but you need to create a Steam account to play and get any updates to the game. Doom is what got me started play PC games and I've played them all (Doom) but this one is boring Hell I haven't even finished it yet. Get HL2 plus you can get a used edition of Doom 3 a lot cheaper at most EB Games or any where else they take or buy used games. <img src="http://images.stardock.c

I am just starting to play the game and I am really didappointed in the bugs in it. The load time is the biggest thing. It takes so long that for someone like me who has trouble staying focused on one thing for to long that it spoils any excitment away. I really like the involvement and how you have to figure things out greatly improve this game from others. There is also alot of stuttering going on and I've tried everything I can think of to reduce this but to no avail. Other than that it looks

Problem getting OD Icons to work with games. in Stardock Software WinCustomize Forums

Is anybody else having trouble with getting game icons to work in OD? I never had the problem before but now none of the game icons work no matter what I try. The games are MOHAA, Spearhead, Breakthrough, and Call of Duty. When I click on the icon I get this "Launch MFC Application has encounted a problem and needs to close." slamb from what I have experienced with the same sound ideas as you is that you can't. Now if anybody knows how other than using XP Control Panel as Essencay suggests I would love to know how to get that part to work. What I found out is that WB skins (again, if I'm wrong please help) unless the author included them in the skin stops the startup and shutdown sounds from working but the other sounds work.I posted this same type of question some time back and I didn't get much response. <img src="

Recoloring in Stardock Software WinCustomize Forums

I recolored an EZ-Pop skin (for my use) and there is a problem. The skin is Shex and there are moving parts. After re-coloring the animations stopped. I tried putting in the original sections and they work. I don't have a clue what to do. Help!!!

I followed the tut made sure (which wasn't easy) that the image was bmg 640x480 4 bits and made sure the ini file had all the right words etc.. and what happend was that at first load it looked good then the pic turned real ugly as if the colors inverted (something like that). I didn't have any trouble booting up or am=nything like that but the image just turned sour. I used a progress bar from another bootskin which was about the the right color.
