[quote who="db0" reply="4" id="2177154"] and have been for more than a few days, then you should either buy it or accept that you’re a thief and quit rationalizing it any other way. I file-share games regularly, however I have bought all my Stardock games just because of (whatt I thought was) your stance on Piracy. Now you made me wish I hadn't... So tell me exactly, since Piracy doesn't result in any lost sales, since piracy actually may have a net

My idea for a new demigod. It would obviously need balancing and some tuning. Name: Changeling Type of demi god: Assassin The changeling is a warped being who is able to twist his body into various shapes at will. In his natural form the changeling looks like a large man in a loin cloth except animal limbs and heads press seemingly randomly out
How about a Shadow Fiend who's abilities are based around Speed (maybe teleportation), invisibility (this should be a mode that enables a deadly strike ability line & a self healing ability line). A deadly strike would make the assain visible and they would have a cooldown before they could become invisible again, the strike would centre round a single devistating blow. While invisible they could still be harmed by area effects, and would also have a self healing li
Qot seems to look and act pretty evil to me. Have you heard what happens when she wins?
If the origional poster hated DOTA, why did you buy this game in the first place? I mean every review I've read pointed out it took the basic idea of DOTA. Did you not read about the game at all before buying it? By the way I'm loving it, but it does seem to be a little prone to unhandled exceptions.
Listen to Frogboy, stardock have never abandoned a game yet I don't expect them to start now, I have total faith because they have earned my trust over the years. I've been keeping amused with single player anyway. Want to make sure I have mastered all the basics before going online since I wasn't in the beta.
Yes I'd like to know too, patch notes are important guys! I also notice it didn't update the version number.
I've also never subscribed to the idea that turn based stratergy has to mean ugly. It's like saying good looking people have to be dumb and clever people have to be ugly. Go for it Frogboy I want pretty and clever.
Well I think it's rather exciting, and knowing Stardoc games the way I do I have no doubt that doing this will not mean they put any less effort into great game play. I can see how this makes it easy to produce very visually unique units, I also wonder to what extent the physical modelling might be reflected in the capabilities of the unit? <p style="margin-bottom: 0c
Once again you prove that GC2 & it's expansions are not only the best turn based stratergy game ever, but also the best value for money ever. You just keep on giving. Thank you. P.S. can't wait for elemental.
I think it would be nice to have various categories of relics you could choose to include in a game or not. e.g. defensive, offensive, enhancments, etc
Legion I am Legion we are many Legion is a very powerful summoned unit, the player creates Legion by literally ritually sacrificing a legion of his soldiers and melding the

Army of the dead Requires a grave yard and the casting of a ritual spell to literally raise the dead to serve you. They can be armed with any weapons & armour a living soldier can be armed with but they cannot ride animals due to the unsettling smell of decay that hangs around then. Th
[quote]Each race now has techs they "must" trade for if they want to get. Iconians have no advanced government techs. The Thalans have no farms. The Arceans have no engine techs. The list goes on.On the whole, it makes tech trading a much stronger part of the game now. When you're in the trade window, any techs with an "*" next to them are race specific. No, this completely breaks, ruins, and destroys the game, fucks balance up the ass, and removes the entire point of the unique tech trees.Torian
Sorry but their house, their rules. Clearly when you signed on for the account it stated in the conditions that abusive language would not be tolerated. You broke that condition and got unlucky because you where reported, tough break but your own fault. Also how did you know the girl was fat?
You probably just need to know wht folder you need to save the XML into. For some reason this has not been documented anywhere. Honestly I can't believe the lack of documentation on how to use the editors and where under the file structure to save and find files, it makes what look like pretty feature rich editors frustrating and useless.
Yes it's very confusing and not at all intuitive or easy to find or of course documented. On My PC, I downloaded via Stardock and installed Stardock on my D: drive they could be found in; D:\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Twilight\Metaversedata\English\Tech Trees\ No where near the default directory the editor opens into and not documented with the editor of course. I still haven't tracked down the vanilla data for most the other editors yet. Honestly I
I have to agree that the editors suffer from missing manual syndrome big time and I speak as an IT professional with 10 years experience of programming and application integration. The main problem is your failure to properly explain what some values mean or how the file structure works. Where do I save my custom tech tree? Improvements, ship components, etc. Where do I find the standard one's, after searching about for a while I found the standard races tech trees, bu
I have never played a turn based strat. game multiplayer ,(even those that have it) and have no desire too.
It is a bit odd that you have so many problems, I've actually honestly in many hundreds of hours playing DA, DL & now the TA Beta never had the game actually crash on me. I have seen the invisible ship bug in the TA Beta but actually never had it in DA or DL. Then again I played them on my old machine which was a different configuration so may be that's why, who knows, I'm pretty certain I've heard other people have encountered that bug in DA. As you say though your post is ess
Actually I think in ToA it's the racial tech trees that really define the races now, to my mind super abilities are almost redundent now. And with the tech editor I think I could add cheap early tech that represented a sort of super ability.
