If they were going to do anything about it I am sure they would have done it alredy
That would require them to be aware of this exploit. I'm also curious - the Terrans are the only ones with named planets in their starting system. Does this work for other races as well? If not, that would explain why this exploit hasn't been reported before. Most MV top players don't use Terrans.
And then what is the highest level for Twilight 1.96 where the AI doesn't cheat?
Tough. That's something that never changed between base game and expansions. Note that YOU get some bonus as well on higher difficulties, as well as a better chance at bonus tiles on the homeworld.
I'm sure there is 100K to be had on a TA Immense.
After looking at the OP again, that's already the #1 game in that category. :D

Mag got 97k? Really? That entry was intended for both gigantic and immense, depending on the version you play...

Well, firstly, you use a pastry fork. Secondly, quit forking about when there's still a top three spot under 100k!

Wings over Europe, which I finally bought (now that Wings over Israel is out...) Gamersgate, since Stardock doesn't seem to be interested in simulations. I hope Wings over Vietnam and Israel will be released at GG as well, so I can get the full merged install.

If we knew exactly how he cheated, he wouldn't be ranked on the MV any more. The thing is that someone with enough computer skills can devise cheats that work outside of the game, using memory manipulation, manipulating the communication between GC2 and the MV-servers, etc. You won't find any of these cheats here on the forum, because SD would doubtlessly ban the poster on sight. It was meant more as comment to the post about being the first game on suicidal. The difficulty doesn't affect the gameplay much, but I thought it important to specifically point out that it has an effect on scoring.
the difficulty setting doesn't make much difference in ZYWs
On the contrary. The difficulty has an enormous impact on scoring: A 'normal' ZYW brought me about 15000 points. The same win in 'suicidal' almost double that. You are right that the AI doesn't change much, since it can't cope with the strategy involved, but to get the most out of it, you need to play on suicidal.
1) When I click to see someone's profile I am directed to my own, only.
That's actually the most annoying one out of the three. The recent post lists seems quite recent to me.

Oooooohhhh. The economy sliders. Fun. I'm no expert, but I'll try. There are three sliders: Tax, Production and Distribution (which is the three sliders for social, military and research). Tax is the only straightforward one. I'll skip the explanation on that. The second slider, directly under taxes, is the one that gives most people trouble. This is how much of the money you make is actually used for production / research. Set it to 50%, and only 50% of your

You should note that each ship can have a different range. For example your starting Flagship has a much larger range than you colony ships or constructors.
