Looks nice enough, but the game doesn't start for me. It always gives an error about 'defining external function' and then quits. The ship builder works, though. EDIT: Fixed, was a sticky on the forums about deleting the dlls required for music playback. Works now. ;)

Heh, yeah, you did quite a few games. In the time it took between KP posting the link and me updating the score, there were already five or six more games. ;)
Hi,Is there any way to mod the game so that I could play as more then one race at the same time.Cheers
See the post directly above yours:
It is not something that can be modded in, and we have no plans to add it in GC2.
True, and I probably wouldn't have noticed it if not for this thread. ;) But as long as they're in the mood for a couple of quick fixes, might as well keep this in mind. Maybe just clicking on the clock to switch it from 12h to 24h mode?
Pardon my provincialism, but are you implying that household digital clocks outside the US use what I was brought up to think of as "military time?"
Lol. Seriously, though, can we get a real 24h clock for GC2 please?

Good effort! ZYWs teach you a completely different approach to the game, with the need to constantly push the limit of your economy and research. Very helpful even in normal games.

I don't have anything against arcade racers, they are fun. I just wish there'd be more sim racers out there. ;)

I'm always a bit disappointed with console racers - 24 minutes for a race is hardly worthy being called endurance, you have a minimal starter field, different physics applied to gamer and AI racers, rubberbanding, AI that drives 'on rails' no matter what's happening in front, AI drivers that never overtake each other... So far the only game that managed to pull of a real race is GTR2 - up to 60 cars on the circuit, real physics, no rubberband, an AI that at least tries to avoi

If you don't want to wait for a patch, you'll be severely disappointed in more or less EVERY game published today... SD is one of the companies with the best patch history to date, compared to others.
This game has been getting mixed review, but unfortunately most of them are bad. IGN:3.5 1UP:B-
And those are the English versions. The localisation has to be one of the worst ever, beginning from translation up to the speakers. The 4players review said (paraphrased) 'The dialogue is something that not even Uwe Boll would accept.'
i don't think they like it when you use spores Jorilik Coston12600Conquest in 6 yearsChallengingTA 1.95Timestamp 6/25/2008 10:06:32 AMTeam E
I think the main reason why many people chose invasion over spores this round is the economy. Personally, I found Yor with a starting soldiering bonus of +60 do quite a nice job. In the end, I lost about 300-400 troops against a full 16b planet - admittedly, that was peaceloving treehugging spongiform Torians, but still. You get

Atari just established a new low on the gaming market over the Euro release of Alone In The Dark 5. Unsatisfied with reviews like 68/100 (4players.de) or 3/10 (gamereactor.no and affiliates) and other low scoring reviews immediately before the launch, Atari simply sued them for reviewing 'illegal copies' of the game. Clearly, Atari knew the game was crap and didn't want any reviews spoil the sales of a new title - and Alone In The Dark would have had many sales based purely on the prestig

The last shots of the interface look fantastic. However, it doesn't come across as a pure hologram - maybe add an just visible 'glass' panel or maybe some holographic static behind the main UI?
