Because it is a bug?

Or, to bring up another comparison: Not even 100km travel with your car. :P
Yep, about 12 Euros, thanks to digital download. elias: IIRC only the map and issues etc. changes, the voting system will stay the US one. Bit of a letdown, but again, only 12 Euros...
Hm. Even as European, the game looks interesting. Especially if the price tag isn't too high.
Try playing with the default races first. They are balanced for their specific tech-trees, after that, you have a better idea what tech-tree and racial ability combination might suit you. The differences vary. The Arceans and Altarians open up a lot of techs using 'good' alignment. The Iconians have very few economic buildings. The Yor are just plain different. Also, tech-trees bring with them their planetary improvements, so using the Yor tree you get Stalks for example.
Isn't SOTS also on totalgaming.net?
It is highly unlikely that your TV supports any of the higher resolutions. The game just gives you the choice based on your graphics adapter, no matter the output. Try to set the game resolution to the same resolution you configured for your desktop, if you directed that to the TV as well.
Also notice that this option seems to be only available on replies, not thread-starting posts - much like the Metaverse medals.
That has always been that way. I think you could argue that even if the ship is bought, you have to expend some production in the form of logistics to actually crew the ship and get it into orbit.
That depends entirely upon the player race, opponent, difficulty, starting position... Can you be a bit more specific?
I'm really missing the option to put SR2 into windowed mode though. Is there a commandline switch? Windows behaves a bit strange when one monitor is fullscreen in 1024 and the other in 1280...
For starters, try this article: [link="http://www.heise.de/tp/r4/artikel/24/24973/1.html"]heise on Uri Geller[/link] Also, you don't cite any sources at all, so I think it's your turn to substantiate your points. ;)
I played both (actually I like SR2 a lot more) - my strategy is to either be late to a battle and just sweep up some 'free' ectoplasm and perhaps a damaged Klissan or two; or make hit & runs to system where I know the Klissan presence isn't very dense. Other than that... attacking a hostile system on your own generally seems to be suicide.
Actually Mind readers and Psychic's have been proven. they exist.
And the study to support that? The US experiments in the 20th century were all performed by non-sceptics (as far as I can see via a quick read on the Wikipedia), the environments could hardly be called controlled and the results were mediocre and not even repeatable. The most famous participant perhaps was Uri Geller and I don't have to tell you just how fake he is. Great PR though. ;)
AFAIK the tile boni only apply directly to production. Building a bonus improvement on a bonus tile doesn't have any benefits.
Congratulations! When you start getting a hang of it and are up to a serious challenge, stop by the [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/300853"]Year Zero Club[/link].
...the CGI Godzilla from that awful Hollywood movie just doesn't deserve to be called Godzilla....
Too true. I quote Mittermeier in calling that Godzilla 'Schwäbische Spätzlesechse'. The real Godzilla, however, is tied with the first Alien for my monster of all time.
As the betas came out I simply downloaded them and did not delete any of them, nor did I delete anything when I downloaded the final version.
You really should, though. Installing the release over the Beta is just asking for strange glitches and bugs. ;)
Yep, sounds like the Yor.
The only way to find the exact line that caused the problem is to go back to the non-working techtree, then deleted line for line and check after each line if the problem has gone away. Or does the debug.err show errors in the techtree?
Wing Commander? Animated series? What? WC was one of the bleeding edge computer games, revolutionising the space combat genre. I remember buying a new computer just so I could play WC2... (And then doing the same for Strike Commander... Pacific Strike... *sigh*)
1) Terror Stars don't attack planets. They attack stars. The crash when fleeting one is known, though, and will hopefully be fixed in the next patch. Until then, you'll have to manually manage an escorting fleet. 2) That's the new invasion screen. IMO a step forward, especially as the caustic, ear-shattering sound effects of the old one are gone. 3) Did you perhaps delete them from DA in an effort to save space? TA draws on the same files, except for the new victory condition.
How are there 'useless' lines in a valid XML?
That actually prompted me to finally update my Sins installation... Now only to find the time to change my mods accordingly.
AFAIK petrol prices in the US have always been ridiculously cheap. Now that the oil companies are upping their prices, the outrage seems to be far more prominent in the US than in Europe. Mind you, I pity those who bought a diesel thinking they might save some - diesel is at 1.45 Euros as well. The petrol prices also seem to have had an impact on the car industry from the very beginning. You won't find any huge pickups driving around in Germany. Even luxury cars seldom use more than 12,
