Poster is alright I guess, but I like getting something more original and unique. I'd love to get a little minature Rook or something. That'd be sweet. :D
Phazon88
I paid $20 extra to get box + shipping. Whats the big deal?
Its like the game is only displaying the raw normal map haha.
Cool stuff. Achievements are all the rage nowadas.
Buy another copy of Demigod for a friend? [e digicons][/e] I've really enjoyed beta 1 so far. I've been lucky enough to have not experienced any real technical issues, so I got to spend all my time enjoying the game. If its fun now when half the game is missing and still being worked on, I can only imagine how awesome its going to get when we get the other 5 Demigods + alot more.
personally I could care less about a war level indicator.. so far its pretty pointless unless one sides war level can overpower anothers.. at this point its an announcement.. but if both sides get it.. nothing really changes.. so its kinda pointless even for an announcement.
The word is that in the near future the war level will be player influenced / controlled, at the moment its on an automatic timer as I guess GPG works on im
It'll be changed in the next update, with it being changed into a ranged AoE attack that does DoT every so many ticks and its just the single damaging entity (not the 32 segment one it is now [e digicons]XD[/e] ).
I respect people giving their critcism, and I apologise if my inital post sounded harsh. Its just the thread title's wording sounded so silly. :P Personally I am really happy with what I am seeing so far. The game looks fantastic for such an early beta, and it runs awesome to boot. It really shows off the power of the Forge engine (thats its name right?) and what it is capable of. I'm loving the detail on the Demigods, and the special effects are great. Also the game has got h
When its done? :P I'm sure we'll see it soon enough. I'd rather have a solid new build with lots of new features and goodies to test out than one that just has a few minor changes.
Needs more Ork.
Seeing how cool it is when the Rook wails on a tower or other building with his hammer as his default attack animation (compared to the hand slap he gives units and other Demigods), it got me thinking how much cooler it'd be if the other Demigods did the same. I'd love to see the other Demigods have unique building attack animations similar in nature to the Rooks. I can already see the Torchbearer doing something such as throwing huge icicles being summoned in h
I like what Spore is trying to achieve, with the different stages of life populated with others creations. On that level the game exceeds very well. Its just a shame they put so much effort into that aspect of the game, that they didn't think about giving the different stages any real replayability. Coupled with the fact the Space stage has some seriously bad design decisions (having to babysit everything, inability to create additional fleets to do what you want) it just left
I reckon the mines should also be able to be thrown a short distance rather than having to plant them at his feet too.
I'm really hoping for an additional bonus myself for the 2 forms, such as the normal ice bolt attacks slowing in ice mode and the fire attacks dealing damage over time. That way we don't lose an ability outright for a simple toggle switch, but just replace it with something much more interesting.
AI need tea and crumpets too!
The item shops are probably only placeholders anyway, I wouldn't get too worried about them as word is they'll be replaced with a single one stop shop instead.
I have noticed some anomalies with his auto-attack, its not entirely consistent but I can't really single out any reproducable actions to get it to occur it just happens randomly.
Needs more DotA references...
I think its only triggered by Demigods, not creeps from memory. The normal mines seem to be triggered by either though.
Brad you guys at Stardock picked the right time to give me a 20% off coupon for doing your survery, I put it to good use by pre-ordering Demigod. [e digicons][/e]
What kind of a stupid thread is this? The beta has been intentionally stripped down, and is mainly for the purpose of technically testing the game's engine. The game will drastically change over the coming months, I'm sure the guys who were in the Sins beta can attest to how much change can happen during the beta.
The quality of special effects from GPG really picked up come the release of Forged Alliance (the original Supreme Commander's effects were sadly lacking in most areas), did you guys have a hand in the great improvement of effects in FA? :D Demigod looks fantastic so far, I just pre-ordered today and am currently downloading the first beta as we speak. Can't wait to see to what new heights you have taken the engine used in Supreme Commander. Edit: I finished my
My question is why would you spent $30 on getting the 3 or so addons when you could get them all at once for cheaper with the full expansion?
Frogboy, if I pre-order Demigod when the Beta 1 stage has already begun do I still get to participate as soon as I make my pre-order?
But the Impulse installer don't work with Linux... do you plan a working version of Impulse for Linux user ? Or maybe a boxed version made from several "micro-expansion"... No. We have no plans to do any work on Impulse to make it work with Linux (even in emulation). All of the micro-expansions will be rolled-up into the big full expansion pack we've been talking about since launch. You know, the one with the campaign and
