no beta patch! bad thrawny! [e digicons]:P[/e] The beta patch isn't compatible with any mods. I'll send it out once I'm done eating or something. Also, part of the reson I've been slacking is that I'm subconciously thinking that all my work's going to be invalidated by 1.1 so why bother making a ton, so I should be a lot more prolific once that's out. Either that or I'm going to be busy with entrenchment and fallout 3. Either one's a possiblity.
But yeah, drone killing anything but a Squig doesn't make sense. He had to roll a 6, then a 5 or a 6, then I had to roll a 1. Very stupid
I knew a guy whose life's ambition was to get a sanctioned psyker to instakill a bloodthirster with his force weapon. killer drones look downright common in comparison. And I'm sorry I'm a lazy bastard, but I want more ship models to play with. Screw it, I think I'll proxy the imps soon, but I ma
Mebbe newegg, there's two choices there. I wish I had $330 to spend on laptop RAM.
I covet your ThinkPad T400 with 8 gigs [e digicons][/e] . 8 gigs is a good spot for 64 bit, and now that I do everything except gaming on my pc, I can feel free to make that 64 and shove some more ram in it. *checks prices of 4 GB sticks and recoils in horror at price of 16 GB*. Yep, 8 GB is the sweet spot here. Plus, the latency and speed are strictly meh.
Honestly, a working DRM isn't all that hard to implement. Just set autoexec to rewrite the boot sector. Done, no chance of copying now [e digicons]:X[/e] . I give it three years. Also, spartan, I would advise you to wonder why that guy in the black car is wearing an agent earpiece. Just friendly advice [e digicons]:P[/e] , I know declaring random people is completely acceptable in the dmca. This is really getting rediculous. The worst bit is if I buy these guys' games, I'll need to crack it
My biggest problem with EA isn't the DRM, it's that they're deliberately trying to stifle any and all innovation and replace it with throwing money at the graphics so the smaller companies don't have the cash to compete. Well, that and the fact that they keep buying good studios just so they can put a graphic on the box which contains the same formulaic dross. In much the way that impulse is now my first place to go for games, I will only buy an EA game if I'm truly desperate. I bought crysis
Not only would I like to preserve your butchery of spelling, but it's also interesting that if anything Sins was probably harder to market.
Agreed. Plus sins helped you guys get a lot of attention that you didn't have going in. Forgboy just likes to make everything look hard so he can look glorious when it all works perfectly [e digicons][/e] . Beats doing it to avoid looking bad hands down [e digicons]:P[/e] .
nope, but theirs were the blurry ones =p I'll put up pictures once I get back to the state where the models are.
brilliant! So much better than any of mine look... although in fairness I'm not done yet =P. Still a lot better than what I expect to end up with.
It's not easy, but if you install to the last non beta version, copy your entire directory elsewhere, then install the beta patch and copy that to another elsewhere and just paste which you want into the directory when you want to play, it should work just fine. I highly recommend once they release 1.1 that you uninstall and reinstall in impulse, though, rather than patching, which may suck because of your download cap (really, hasn't anybody thought of charging a bit more and taking the cap
nope, isn't going to work, sorry. The beta of 1.1 doesn't support the mods folder, so I'd have to make a new mod from scratch, and it'd be terrible and a lot of work and probably not work and ruin your installation.
Hey all, I'm trying to summon up the willpower to do another round of balancing, but first I'd love it if you all could tell me anything I didn't implement so I can fix the easy stuff and get a good test in before I go back to models. If you can point out any blatant balance issues you notice while looking, that'd be great though. I just really want to get back to work and look through the balance again with turrets and all and see where the carrier balance is right now.
I did not miss it, I merely misunderstood it. Thanks for clarifying it, I need sleep. I though he meant that it would get buggy as sin, not refuse to start. Sorry, stupid.
It'd be good to let the devs know about it so they can fix it because the next person may care.
I can't show my exact numbers, but with Regulus' range maxed, he can shoot farther than he can see...Does anyone else find an issue with this?
No, I don't. He can hide behind his lines to snipe or can pick off buildings. If he had as much sight range as he did attack range, he'd be way too easy to exploit. Firing across one of those square chasms, for example.
maybe you accidentally started demigod twice? That's the most plausible situation I could think of.
Or you could just be a computer, they seem to teleport at the start of the game into a decent position. [e digicons][/e] and no, what you describe isn't in the game now.
Hey, college isn't always a picnic. I've got a five page paper to write, a compsci project, 100 pages of dry textbook to read, and an entire goddamn novel. It's the book periods forgot. The entire first page has a period. Just one. It's almost impenetrable. I have a fun sunday to look forward to. Oh well, at least both my five pagers weren't due on Friday like I thought they were.
1) When you have four of the same item (ie:potions) there will be a stack of 3, and a stack of 1. When you click on the 1, it will take from the 3 stack.
Should be the other way around, so if you use one it frees up your inventory slot.
2)Forts can see past the fog of war. I've seen a friendly fort fire at an area I couldn't see
I think it's firing at the buildings, which can't move and should be fair game for siege. <p
Always good to know. I think I've left itunes open too when I've run DG, so that likely works too. Uses a lot more RAM, but oh well.
Yeah, keeping their spawn gates should be highest priority after defending the stronghold proper if even that (3 gates v 1 = pwnd and you may need to get another gate to stay alive).
Definitely a good idea, if you aren't looking at the gold/xp meter, it's invisible, but if you want to know you can also see your income.
Very odd. You always get this even when you don't have anything else open? Try opening your task manager beforehand so you can see how much ram it tries to use when it opens. I'm really not sure what could be causing that other than an inexplicable lack of memory.
The one with the 2 towers of light is known if you're talking about what I think you are. You mean the pair that's got a horseshoe of wall between them?
Nah, no problem on the derailment. I'm working crazy hard on school till the end of this weekend, but then I'll be back and ready to do some work (other than the crysis I intend to play when I get my desktop back). I can't wait till prezo gets his new desktop, then we can really get back to work and (hopefully) get a public version out soon.
