That is such an odd bug, and it must be engine level, because it was in supcom too. Do you have any idea what causes it?
I can't run the game I loathe all of you.
I'm really sorry to hear that [e digicons]:hugme:[/e] , it's a real shame you can't play. What do you have? There may be an easy upgrade to make it work.

Okay, excellent. It's a very odd bug to just randomly pop up. The reason I recommended the gauntlets of Rokkur was to see how the splash damage was affected, which could've provided some interesting/useful info, but it seems to be an event that only occurs when the planets line up a certain way, and I don't know if there's much more you could do to get the devs any useful data.
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Propriétaire\Mes documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Forge\replays\
It may be a problem with the HP setup, or it may be a problem with french vista, because somebody else had the same problem, with the game failing to make that same folder. I wonder if making that directory manually would work?
complexity for the sake of complexity is rarely a good thing. It's better to make the combinations of simple elements create depth rather than obfuscatory complexity. That said, we'll need some spell synergy for that to be true here, and hopefully they'll deliver.
I didn't hear music, which may be a problem on its own, or it may just be that I'm deaf. [e digicons][/e]
It isn't a minor point!
No it isn't. The only thing as annoying as that is if another program steals its screen focus, it keeps playing even if you're the only human, which is a bit annoying. It makes sense in multi, but if you lose screen focus, you're almost guaranteed to lose a life, and if there's no overwhelming reason, it's pretty annoying. An option to have it use one of your timeouts if you have some left on a non-intentional loss of screen focus would be good a
Like the dark teams Rook have cracked texture and grungy, and the light one cleaner and lighter.
Right. I agree with that wholeheartedly, but not with the lighting effects he also proposed. Those would be distracting.
Bwuh! What kind of computer does he have? Did you turn all the settings down?
That's interesting, thanks! It should help, but it begs the question of why that lag is there.
T is good. T is not perfect. T does not let you go quickly to your base in order to get out of a fight. Edge control has its uses.
True. I'd personally like the mine ability to be laying a minefield that could stop a wave in its tracks or leave a demigod helpless and unable to charge, and cost way more mana and have a considerably greater cooldown.
Hmmm, that's modern stuff, it shouldn't be an incompatibility glitch. I don't think anybody short of devs could help you with that. Is everything working consistently now?
HOTTT
Yeah, given the main option is the Queen of Thorns. Freud'd be proud.
The only deciding factor in a competitive team game like this should be the players' ability, not random events.
I agree wholeheartedly that the items should at least get a unique effect based on the hero. The helmets are almost only useful for the torchbearer, and they should be good for all of them. I think the item store will be spruced up for later betas, though.
Thanks, that may give some info as to where the screwup is happening. It's a very odd bug, and I don't think the equipment had anything to do with it. It may have been a rare, one-time thing, or something so rare and based on some very odd occurrences that you may not be able to recreate it. Shame we can't save in this beta, or you could send a save of the bug occurring.
HEADSHOT! [e digicons]XD[/e]
I think that'll be left for when they have enough to split up into good and evil, and the thing is, locking it as good and evil limits team choice considerably if the heroes aren't ambiguous.
I dislike the idea of having to run all the back to the base to shop. Going back for healing makes sense, because it's essentially "death lite", where you get taken out for a little while as opposed to the longer respawn, but buying upgrades doesn't make as much sense. Going back to buy consumibles mkaes sense, because running out of resources is roughly equivalent to running out of health.
I'd like to see these teamwork boosting measures talked about more in a later beta when we have netcode and can see the effects online, but I really like the idea of something, because as it is now, the rook can chain a hammer slam on the end of a boulder roll and put the other two demis near death without much chance of defence, and with other stun abilities, you can be killed before you know it.
That's very odd. Is it all types of friendly unit or just a few particular ones? I've never noticed that happening, so it may be your system. Would you do me a favor and get the gauntlets of rokkur and see if you can do splash damage to enemies or whether the splash damage is nulled? I'm curious and it may be useful for debugging. Thanks.
Ooh, that's not good. I don't think there's an easy way to circumvent that. What exactly happens when it tries to make this folder? Does it crash? Do you get a dialog? Does it freeze?
This is beta 1, aka the not supposed to be fun beta. That said, you can rotate the camera with space and mouse at the same time, I don't think all the anims were in yet, and I don't know if the maps' objectives are done yet.
