vStyler-- I have played some with the start menu, and I think I've got it figured out, but what I'm really excited about now is that I figured out the taskbar! Pattern looks great with single, double, or triple height taskbar! Thanks again for that tip! You 'da man! [e digicons][/e]

Whoa! Thanks for that tip on the taskbar! I just tried a bigger taskbar, and it went wonky!
always check it at different start menu sizes before thinking you 'got it'
How do I do this?

I just started something new last night. I am happy so far, except for the fact that the pattern doesn't quite look right in the start menu. The parts that are affected are the Programs List (Left side) and the Places List (Right side). Any input?

Not too long ago (just over a year) I was one of the muchers. Desktop customization was a brand new concept to me. I was quickly growing to love it. I DL'd and DL'd to my heart's content until I reached my limit. Then I became a customer, then a subscriber. Now, I'm sold out! [e digicons][/e] But if I would have had to pay for each DL right off the bat, I wouldn't have. Period. As the system is, it drew me in. I know that not everyone gets drawn in like I did.</p
Ahh, ok so no text problem area, i opted for grey because its harder to make true black look good the effects wont come out as easily... like shading
I'm finding out that so many things are up to the preference of the skinner. Basically as long as you do what you do on purpose and don't leave anything to chance or accident or even worse, as an "oh well, I can't figure it out." That's why Aqueous took me so long. I can honestly say that every thing was done on pu

I'd rather have all black, or black with light, than black with dark gray. [e digicons];)[/e]
That happened when I was testing, too, but I opened the skin in Skin Studio 6, went to Edit Controls, Edit Scroll bars, Arrows, and checked the boxes for this image has transparent parts and this image has alpha channel, and the pink disappeared. There is no actual magic pink IN the image itself....not sure where that pink is coming from, but with those boxes checked it goes away.
Good tip. I only took a quick, casual look.
