Yes, its part of our Bandwidth saving process. For about a day we were defaulting all preview images to the 100x100 preview. However at this time we have released that default for registered users and their settings will work as they should. But at high traffic times we may need to reset the images to be small again. It has proved to decrease bandwidth usuage.

A button can have either text on it, or it can have an image on it. The image that is placed on the button is called an icon. So a button and an icon are not the same. Windowblinds can skin the Buttons appearance (Color, background, etc). But does not change the image, or icon, that is on the button. Hope that helps.
Its available through Object Desktop, so go buy a copy today!
Hmm, I was thinking server side but I guess it could be done on the client. We would just have to store all the invididual files separately as well as a skin suite. Download the individual files and once they are downloaded then package them as a whole. Now a problem I see with that, lets say you download a suite and only have two apps. You then send that file to a friend of yours. But he has 5 apps. He doesn't get to see the whole suite because he received the file from you. So at t
Paxx, your idea could be implemented but It would be very server instensive having to build packages for everyone on the fly. In my opinion, if this was to be done it would have to be a pay service and not a free service do to the intensive upkeep and developement that it would require.
I run at 1280x1024 and have no complaints.

I also received the same reply that David did and they have kept to their promise and have changed the link to their old style page for their ICQ themes. However the following pages still exist but I do not know if there are any direct links to those pages. http://www.thetopthemes.com/skinicq2.html http://www.thetopthemes.com/skinicq.html

Flipnet, that is a very good suggestion. It has fleetingly crossed my mind in the past but had been forgotton. I think that is something I will look into.
Remember when the screen saver AfterDark came out. It started a huge craze for screensavers. Everyone wanted to have their own unique screensaver. I personally expect that XP's visual styles will do the same thing and cause the skinning community too boom! After all look how popular skinning is for ICQ and WinAmp. The general user usually tends to use one of the programs and gets introduced to skinning that way. Once they find out they can change the look and feel of their entire d
I think both Skinbase and Deviantart have something that tells you how many people are on.
Currently at this moment people without an account cannot view or download any skins. This is only a temporary measure. Once the traffic dies down we will turn off this restriction.

The file names look just fine. Its possible that they could have been moderated by the other admins.
Try this. One the menu bar of IE click on... View->Text Size->Medium That might do the trick.
Sounds like another great way for modem users to increase the speed of the site. Great job!
What is the filename for screenshot and skin in which you are trying to upload. And the title of your skin as well. This information may help me determine if there was an actual error of if your skin had been moderated.
