Hi guys, sorry it's been so long. Any updates on how the mod is going? I havn't really been around. [e digicons]:borg:[/e] Blessed be the Omnissiah!
Keilworth
Here's the thing... I'm going off to bandcamp (band nerds FTW!) on the 22nd...and I'll be there for seven weeks. Is there ANY chance that the alpha will be together by then?
...is anyone else concerned that the post goes dead for five days after he made that request?
What do all of you guys think about 40k 5th edition?
X, I've been looking over the modding forums, and frankly, there are some things that we could do well to use. For example: Bailknight's explosions, the planet and star size increases planned for Last Stand, etc. Not things to effect the ships (which is where this mod really comes into its own) but stuff to refine the effects and planets and such.
What the...? Sorry about the double post, guys, my internet was acting wonky.
Oh baby! Is that Alpha spoilers/teasers? That is, of course, a subtle hint to get it out by June 19th (when I leave for bandcamp for 7 weeks)
Ooh! To those of us who don't have access to the mod yet, that's a lot of teaser info right there, X! [That was, of course, my subtle way of nagging you to get the Alpha ready before the 19th of June]
“Do not offer them gold, they do not come for riches. Do not offer them surrender, they do not come for victory. Offer them nothing, they come only for your souls.”
That is a pretty awesome quote. I think that the Dark Eldar, while obeying the timed rules, should have a Vasari Phase Gate-like effect where they can jump right from their base (read: portal nexus to comorragh) to any target planet. THAT will scare the bejeezus out of anyone fighting on a
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD on one minute... Dark Eldar have TWO differant kinds of ships. Are they seriously going to be in this as a playable race? Or are they just going to be pirates?
Y'see, thrawn, we make this mod so much more efficient by being its cheerleaders. GO BFG!!!
Welcome Manuel! Good to have you with us. I'm Keilworth, I provide emotional support because I can't program :P
They will fix it so that I don't hemorrhage every time a Kodiak flies by... There will be more than two frontline combat non-capital ships for each race... My ping will drop below 200... My cat will grow wings and scales and breathe fire...
One question: When?
Hail the continental climatic system! Up here in boston our year goes cold, erratic, warm, hot, erratic, cold.
The 'Religious Right' finally admits that its support of Israel is really just so that they can get all the jews to go back so they can trigger the rapture! In unrelated news, the same religious right finally sits down, shuts up, and actually reads the flacking book of revelations only to realize that the rapture is never mentioned and thus, by their own logic, is a heretical suggestion... Sorry, the rants of an angry jew ;)
The SW fighters would get cooked alive by the Void Fields. You must remember that BFG shields are much nastier pieces of work than their Star Wars counterparts. Also: boarding actions. the Imperium would have a huge advantage because of their technological superiority. Storm Troopers vs. Ogryns? No chance. I don't think that a Starhawk would be any more vulnerable to a turbolaser than an X-Wing or something would be. Turbolaser tracking is OK at best, and a Starhawk would be us
Agreed. I like music in part because of the theoretical aspects. Fugue, passacaglia, variations and themes, you just don't get that kind of complexity and intricacy in rap. Even the old-school, legit form of music rap as opposed to the offal that record companies churn out today.
Novalicious. I'd like to see the Executor take on a Cairn...heh, imagine necron warriors and scarabs getting teleported into the midst of stormtroopers.XD If we DO have necrons in this, there needs to be osmething to represent the portals.
Aww! I always thought that a Retribution was bigger than that. Sigh. I guess I'll have to stop telling people that the Bloodhawk can pwn the Eclipse...
but basically that last update broke the game with the tech cost bug.
I wasn't aware it was a bug, I thougth they were just going for a slower-paced game! Lolz, I beta tested TA and I'm still too n00bish to recognize a bug :P
It is very much often true in classical. An overture is, most certainly, a song, and and you could really just call symphonies albums and movements songs.
*looks at the referals page* wow we realy do have quite a few folowers out there in the wider web...
That's great! You know, we might wish to consider making a new post that's oriented around the creation of the mod itself, rather than just one based around the corpse of the illustrious Darker's suggestion post.
Meh. So much hype about emperors. Overrated, in my opinion. Bring back the Oberon!
what weapon is this?
You have to use those big spikes that can be found down in the area with the 'dead' zombies and the old boat, while assaulting the cliff face just before the start of Nova Prospect. Then, you have to carry those spikes all the way through the level (taking out the big antlions along the way) until you get to the turrets.
