Well they said 1.1 Also, i've had it updating for a hour now and its stuck with no bytes downloaded on Processing. Whats going on?
Jedi_General_501, the "processing" it's doing is comparing 800+ files to see which ones need to be updated. :) the Monk

gas of doom, Here's something I posted to another thread.... (if you understand my instructions, give em a try!)
You could perform a "netstat -a" from the command-prompt (this will give you the IP Impulse is connecting to) Then preform a "tracert" also from the command-prompt (eg. tracert xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Knowing that, you could add a custom route statement to your
Please click the blue ORB in the upper-left (when in IMPULSE) and under "preferences" make sure to enable "the new download mechanism". thanks, the Monk
I don't think I like impulse... Do I have to have the 1.05v before I can get the 1.09/1.1? I don't see a "Show Pre-Release" function either.
No you do not have to have 1.05 before you can update to 1.09. Impulse will update the needed files (800+) for you. Click the blue ORB in the upper-left and you will see "pre-realease updates". thanks, the Monk
I'm actually getting it to download with the alternate method, but it is EXTREMELY slow. It flies to 0.8% and then crawls slower than an amoeba after that. Not sure what the issue is. It took 10 minutes to get to 0.9%. Any thoughts?
You could perform a "netstat -a" from the command-prompt (this will give you the IP Impulse is connecting to) Then preform a "tracert" also from the command-prompt (eg. tracert xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx <-- the x's are the IP) to
Nah, we're just waiting for Intel to smarten-up and reinvent the Itanium. Then we'll all be happily single-core again......the way life was designed to be! :p
It's possible you're either using a game version too old or new for the MOD. Please post under the modding section asking the MOD creator for information on which game versions his/her MOD works with. thanks, the Monk
Procumbo, 1. Have you tried using the "new download method" selectable in the IMPULSE "preferences" after clicking the blue ORB? 2. Since SINS has no other DRM whatsoever, how else would you suggest preventing the patches from falling into the hands of the pirates as all of the patches since release up to v1.05 have been doing? Not rocket-science......really! ;p the Monk
You can purchase levels up until level 3. click the "ability" button when you have the cap-ship selected, then (if you have enough money) you'll be able to click the "ability purchase upgrade" button (bottom-left of the ability screen). You won't be able to click it (it will be greyed-out) unless you have enough money. thanks, the Monk EDIT: Anny beat me to it! :p
sorry,im an internet noob
Mr_Blunt3d, Any reply to the help I provided in my reply (reply #3)? Have you tried either of those suggestions? Having issues with either? Feedback is necessary to keep helping someone.... :p the Monk
;) He asked why it seemed like nothing changes with the Sova Carrier "missle battery" when adding levels (points). I explained that the infocard doesn't reflect the changes but that a check in the game-data does show a stat increase at the varied levels. ...and no, I don't do support in french.. ;p hehe Taking only a few years of french in school (so many years ago now) and never using it since doesn't allow for much command of the language.
Die statisik auf der infokarte reflektiert die aenderungen der punkte nicht. Man hat es in den spiel-datien nachgeforscht und es wird tatzechlich staerker je mehr punkte man darin investiert. danke, der Moench (the Monk :HOT: )

Mr_Blunt3d, Fist I'll quote from a post I made to another fellow just a few minutes ago....
IMPERIAL_SHADOW, two options... 1. If you're on game-version 1.05 or less, please download and follow the steps in my guide "Networking and SINS" linked-to right under the GREEN writing in the OP of [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/174313"]this thread[/link]. 2. Each of you go to www.impulsedriven.com, download

There was a MP-desync bug in previous game versions which the DEVS worked out. There have been some isolated desync reports since then, but there doesn't seem to be enough information to base an opinion on. 1. Which game version are you (and everyone else in the game) running? 2. What kind of hardware is each players using? 3. What kind of network setup is being used? It is a rather big waste of everyone's time posting a thread such as this, with
For future notice, there are already several threads dealing with this subject and rather than posting yet another thread it would be more helpful to the devs if you would do the following: Please zip the save file and send it to detailing your system specs, game version, type of network setup etc. and a short description of what happened (as you posted here). thanks, the Monk
djtech7, In the thread about "Game Speed" people have been posting that MP-games in the beta (I'm assuming using the Alloy netcode) are starting with almost "burst-speed" and then slowing down later. I'm thinking this "burst-speed" and then settling-down (seemingly caused by the new netcode) could be at fault in your de-sync. We have to keep in mind, when network traffic has to be allowed to pass/forwarded past the various routers en-route to and from the source and des
nice write-up. :CONGRAT:
How big is your pagefile? A good rule of thumb I've been following for years is to have one's pagefile set to at least 2.5 X the amount of installed system RAM.
Not to my knowledge. Maybe a dev can confirm this?
I believe it was stated by the devs in another thread that they're looking at beta-ing this patch for a month or two.
What's stopping you from un-installing the game and starting over? Or is that somehow a "no-go"...? :p
Well, the GF 4 MX is your problem. As you already stated, it doesn't have proper pixel-shader support.
