I spent a couple of hours messing around with the ship editor (see photos below!). I've spent more hours than I probably should in the GalCiv2 ship builder, but that was a long time ago and I've probably forgotten a few things. Here's some first impressions that I had after successfully assembling a ship: - I absolutely love the option to scale a part with different scaling in different directions. This makes every part so much more versatile. I lo

Pretty much all you've done here is listed the top 4 DGs in any situation (Ereb, Oak, UB, Sedna), thrown Queen on bottom, and mix and match the remaining three. I'd exchange rook and regulus on this list, but that's just my opinion on the matter. Of course it's going to be easier to win with the top 4. That's why they are the top 4. IMO, the reason the top 4 are the top 4 is because of their ability to do three things: Escape, Chase, Burst. TB can't

We (my premade) ran into a team that did this once. We saluted them for trying it out, but it turned out to have little or no value. By level 6 or so, they could all three wrath one of us and we hardly noticed the HP loss. A+ for being cool, but it just didn't work so well. By all means, try it out in a fun game. It has some interesting results! -- Tukulis

Yeah, I commented on this once upon a time. I kinda wish they'd only show people on the ladder who have actually completed a game. -- Tukulis

Loaded my first replay. Hope I did everything right. http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=96410 Take a look, tell me if I did anything wrong. I only ever downloaded from gamereplays before. -- Tukulis

Early game this is a big deal. Later in the game, not so much. I can tell you this. If you're a reg on my opponent's team and you use heaven's wrath and I see you destroying a creep wave that's not yours, I rejoice. I know your team is going to be behind in XP and easier to get kills off of. The exceptions are, of course, if no one has a chance to get that xp anyways.
Q: Is Cataract going to be tweaked so that you can’t take the dark side’s gold flag from outside tower range? A: Shhhh! Seriously though, yes, it’s something on our list.
If your sick of waiting in a lobby for 20 minutes split your team of 4 into 2 teams of 2. Watch what happens! its magic! a game appears! you will still be playing with each other but against each other for a MORE competitive experience! Don't get me wrong I love to play in premades vs other premades I just find the lack of a willingness to split up amongst yourselves when your in a premade to be rediculous. Premades claim to wan
People could just say "team game" to get a team game going with another team. But yea, it will definitely be harder for premades vs. random group now. I don't find that a bad thing.
We'll see. If this causes the other premades out there to start playing agianst us instead of another pugs, that will help. If it causes all premades to simply sit in an empty lobby for 30 minutes, that will
That sounds like it overlaps some of the ready to play functionality.
This may be the case. I'm not all that familiar with it yet. I'm sure I will be once I start using it. I'll also make the assumption that not everyone who plays DG will be using Ready to Play. I'd just love to have people mouse-hover over my name and get a line or two of text... Such as: "Yes, I'm a premade.

Is there any chance of including a way that I can write notes about myself that other people can read? I'm not sure how much screen space will be available for notes. Maybe put "Your notes about this player." first followed by "Tukulis's notes about himself." -- Tukulis

I could probably convince my team to play in something like this. Just a tip though: if you're going to promote something like this, try and be as neutral in your tone as possible. Bringing up the pug-premade hostility is probably not a good thing to do if you're trying to attract premade teams to your event. Additionally calling possible entrants douche bags is probably not going to help the cause. -- Tukulis

Sorry man. 8( He's just so slow he's the prime gank target. On top of that, he has no escape methods. He's very strong if things go his way, but things don't always do that and when they don't, he's just dying. Just my opinion and certainly not meant to offend anyone. Stop by our game sometime and prove me wrong! I like learning new tricks. 8) -- Tukulis

My List: (I am curious what other pro level players think) Top Tier: Oak, Sedna, Unclean Beast, Lord Erebus Middle Tier: Torch Bearer, Regulus Bottom Tier: The Rook, Queen of Thorns (Note: These rankings are based on pro level 3v3 Conquest experience. For the most part, I think they hold up for 2v2 as well.) -- Tukulis

I find the Xfire program is quite useful for checking ranks. We use it for voip, but it's got a nifty little overlay where you can bring up a web browser without alt-tabbing out of the game. Check it out. The command is like... Scroll Lock + W while you're running xfire. Then just escape to banish the overlay. -- Tukulis

Scaled helm is a great choice for starting gear. Duelists Cuirass is a great 2nd armor piece in addition to Nimoth's. It's a good mid-lategame upgrade for Hauberk of Life for tank builds, especially when things are close. -- Tukulis

Back in the early days of Demigod, there was a 30 second disconnect timer. This was before people could instantly leave the game by hitting End Game. Every time someone rage quit, there was a 30 second pause in the game. The timer was reduced to say... 7-10 seconds or something. Then that particular issue was fixed, allowing ragers to just instantly leave (and/or concede). Now as it happens, I play with and against certain people who get disconnected from the g

I use Duelist Cuirass as a mid-lategame upgrade to Hauberk of Life. Gives more armor and adds a crit chance. I'd take that one off the list myself. It might not be the best item, but it's far from worthless. There is no better second armor item within it's price range. Orb of Defiance is good as well, but takes up a quick item slot. -- Tukulis
