"No" pretty much covers it! [e digicons]:|[/e] Remember that the longer the route, the more value in it. Unless your off in a corner of the map. You probably want to have your traders built at planets with the longest routes. Then, once it's built. Send it off and decommission the SY. That would be the only way to do what you asked about...

#1) Not sure. #2) As Cypher said, it wakes your unit up and becomes active for orders. Until then, it will remain dormant. #3) The map editor saves the game state along with ships. Once you start designing ships you cannot save the map as the editor will not be able to "FIND" those ships in the default files. You must save the map BEFORE you do anything within the game or it will not load as the map editor ONLY deals with t

No, not in game. You'd have to start another game. I know there's a mega event for movement but I'm not sure about one for sensor range?

Can any other races or NPR's see those ships? They may have an alliance. I have noticed that in past games, usually the Drengin, send fleets at targets they couldn't possibly see. AND if I move the ships, they stay targeted on them. I've also seen them target bases (non mining) well within my ZOC that they shouldn't even know exist. So the AI does get some FOW advantages. I don't know what extent or to what levels you need to be that allow this.

space599 if you want an armed freighter, find the smallest (non cargo) hull that will hold your cargo mod and build it off of that. You won't need engines on it as it travels at speed 1 after it's trade route is established. Once you have your design, modify it (creating a new

It's been a while since I've done any map editing, as I'm now into Sins of an Solar Empire. I started up my game IN CHEAT MODE and just did a quick setup and saved the map. It saved it to the "custom map" folder with the GC2map extension. You are trying to edit the game save files ( .sav ). You must start the game in cheat mode, then use control-shift-G to bring up the map save box where you can give i

Can you open the map file in notepad? What your doing should work. So there must be something that's not configured properly. The map file should also have the GC2Map extension like this " hugemap.GC2Map " SO MAKE SURE YOUR map file is save as a map file. Check your folder in " My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\CustomMaps\ " directory and see if your maps are being saved with the proper extension. Try this, start a 3x3 (tiny) map game with

Shutdown your internet connection and then suspend your virus protection and firewall settings. See if that helps the situation. This does not sound like a game problem, but more to do with your system configuration. You might also want to check your memory and cache settings. Make sure your allowing windows to control the settings.

No, it doesn't take that long. You might want to run a system check and see if you have any viruses or some other programs running that are slowing down your computer. Do a "Control-Alt-Delete" and see what your Performance Tab has in it.

I hope you only deleted files from the "My Games" folder. If not, you going to have to replace the file of the Yor you deleted. The default for the game is IIRC Human. So your game should default to that. Make sure that the game is set to "NORMAL" in the setup screen (below the map setting) and that your not playing a scenario or campaign...

Open "My Computer" and then go to this directory. Drive:\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\ ships and put the ship files here. There is also a template folder if you have template files (which are different than the ship files). Treaties give you and your treaty partner a percentage of reasearch or economy. I don't know offhand what the percentage is but it will aslo increase your relationship with that race... Can't help you with the CTD's, BUT you

You will have to build your new race from scratch. When you ran your race, you chose Yor and their default settings are still there (which you can't edit). Just start the game over and choose the "custom race" from the player start menu and then you should be able to edit your custom race as you like.
