I don't see anything wrong with premades, and/or friends playing together. If any of my RL friends had this game, I'd want to play with them on my team most the time. But, calling a game "No Premades" or "Noobs only" just to lure unsuspecting people in so you can get off noob-bashing or keep your stats high is just plain mean and desecptive (not aimed @ Wip, cause I don't know you). I'm looking for regular teammates too. I'm an intermediate player; usually Sedna. I've never RQ ever, and never even come close to "yelling" at teammates. But if you RQ or concede during the first 5-10 mins of a game, I'm probably not the teammate for you. And I'd prefer to lable our games "premades" if we get better and team together more often; I don't like steamrolling random pugs.

I just wish they had some kind of unranked games, then I would just shrug my shoulders when someone leaves or hosts a premade. As it is now, if your tolerant/friendly to new players or random pugs, you'll get a horrible ranking. And if you could care less if someone hosts premades (like me), then be prepaired for a near 100% loss rating (especially if the hosts quit if losing). My Sim speed goes down to -1 or even -2 since 1.1. Putting all the settings down to low/off changes nothing. I "can" play with all movies, all sound, and all settings to off and keep my sim above 0, but I'm too worried about ruining other peoples game (again) by trying online for anything but 3v3. Waiting for 1.2 for some hope.</p

I vote for a simple "Check-Box": Ranked Game. If it's not checked, it's not ranked. Then if you host a game called "4 Fun" or "Practice", just don't check the box. Or reverse it if you want (the game is always ranked unless "Unranked" is checked). Seems that would satisfy most players. I beleive Chas was insulting most everyone ; including FB, gay people, you name, it, but if I remember right, it was his insuts towards FB and the mod that was trying to nicely "quiet" him down that did him in. I beleive he got a "forced refund" on his demigod, and was kicked off the forum and out of the Online part of the game permanantely. I could be wrong, it was quite a while ago.

Wow, I think your system is better than mine Dennis. All I can suggest is nothing is working in the background or on the taskbar. Try using the /nosound and /nomovie settings to see if that changes things, that will at least give you something to compair it to. It should not be long till 1.2; perhaps that might help things. . .

I always debate about this with myself playing Sedna. Monks help "me" a lot. But if I don't get a least one helm, I can't heal my alles long before I'm "OOM" just when they need it. And it's almost luck if my monks heal my needy ally.

I have a question about games listed as "noobs only" type games. I'm an experienced player, and often I want to join one of those games to help noobs if is can; even if it's just me and 3 AIs vs 4 noobs, I'd do it to help. But do noobs "want" people like me in their games, or do they just want "All Noobs" only?

I think replays will help this a bit. When people know there are "cameras" on them, they tend to act a bit more civil. Better match-making comming up will help more too; non-ranked games also should help even more.

Correct Zech, although I do think the Rook AI goes afk sometimes. [e digicons]:grin:[/e] Patrick, this game is THE most team based game I've ever played, so some people are, umm, "particular" (to say the least) about playing with new people. One thing you might consider is "Friending" the names you see in these forums that are helpful, then chatting to them online to see if they want to play a MP game.
