Thanks, I just tired it, yes, it worked! You have to go into the game options (BEFORE you start a game, it won't show durring) and change it to "adjustable". Now, we were able to slow the game down to a crawl, and take our time reading all the items/spells. Still, for those who "hate tutorials", you just don't do them then; they are there for all the other people who count on them. The more easily accesable you make DG, the less likely people are to get confused or fru

Do some of you people know the phrase "to me". Most empathetic or mature people use it. For example, ranked games are not important "TO ME". I did NOT say they are "not important", just not "to me". It you don't like SP, or campains, (or tutorials or game replay movies or lots of maps) then fire for you, but a HUGE demographic of players do like those things. There is such an arrogant, rude attitute with some of the MP only people sometimes; l

If you think about it, SimCity Societies was really dumbed down (compaired to SimCity) just like the Alpha of Spore was dumbed down. I wonder if someone purple and dinasourish has a lot of stock in EA . . . ? "What's the matter Timmy, did that nasty o'l Spore Apha game make you think a little? Well, uncle Barney will just have a special friendship talke with those nasty EA peoples".

Ok, I'm too curious now, what is/was the "Kane & Lynch" thing? I have no idea, maybe others don't either. It sounds like the perfect punishment for Gamestop [e digicons][/e]

I use to review games years ago, if FORCED to reveiw DG in it's current condition (regaurdless of who/why/how it happened), I would have given it 6.5 also. But I would have quit rather than release the review "before" the schedule release date of the game itself. I would have checked out the game again the day after it's release date, and THEN put out a final review (also mentioning the pre-release monkey-wrench to readers). I think that's what GS should do in this very uniq

SINSoase is my favorite game of all time. I never played a game for so long (usually 6 months and I'm done; a year max). But I and another friend that got it AWAYS had problems playing online. Even alfter all this time and all the patches, difficult to connect and lots of dysink stuff. But playing on his lan or mine worked perfectly, so it was not "that" big of a deal with us. Some of my friends that are interested in this game (DG) don't live near me, so Lan is

Ya, I found it an easy and much less intrusive than any copy protection yet. I put it on my main computer, and Lan computer without a hitch. As long as they know it's "the owner" installing it, that's all it wants. After that, you only have to "check in" for patches/updates. Beleive me, it's FAR better than the "Alway on, always connected or it won't even start" DRM stuff like Dawn of War 2 and Spore ect. . .

Well, I have to say, with just getting DoW2, but being REALLY excited waiting to get DG, I can't help but compare the two: Putting asside how much I hate/dread the DRM/GFWL in DoW2, it had a pretty complete rulebook; a decent campain (that also helped me learn the game as I went); good skirmish with darn good AI; I never had a problem hosting or joining any game; and watching replays is as much fun to us (and help us learn) as playing the MP itself. I like the cor

Did'nt work. Mabe I'm doing it wrong, but the "-" key does nothing; no key I can find slows or speeds up the game. And F10 does nothing either.

Just play the campain until they fix MP; umm; whoops; [e digicons]:-"[/e] . Seriously, Lan played perfect for us. It's great, so if you can do that by chance, it will be great. But I can't get into any MP online games either; got into ONE in 2 days of trying, but that stayed stable and smooth the entire game, so things are hopeful. Here's the replay to prove it to you; ummm; whoops [e digicons]:-"[/e]

I love campains; I love SP, and I love MP. DG only gives me 2/3rds it's potential, and since I can't get MP to work, 1/3rd at the time. And campains are not just SP; they create a story, a "world". That's what made Warcraft so longlived and brought it to the World of Warcraft point. Dawn of War, omg, it's got TONS of stories and world background that's kept it going strong for 2 decades. It's like an interactive book or movie. It really brings longevity to

Thanks counterfeit , I had no idea there was a speed setting button (just another thing that should have been put in the manual or tutorial, haha). That WILL help me teach my friends the game.

Thanks Dalzk. I got the Replay Loader, and watched my last Lan game. Your instructions on how to use it were great, thanks. But the replay was pretty buggy; only the demigods really showed up on the map, everything else looks like a blue ghost. The majority of the sound effects/voices did'nt play either, and it just stopped about half way though; even when we restarted it. But I guess it's better than nothing. STILL can't beleive they don't ha

We just played a Lan game last weekend; mines were a bane. We even made a fleet of 10 scouts and 10 flaks, sent them in, lots still blew up, and what little is left was wiped out by fighters/bombers before they could even start clearing out the rest of the mines. We finally gave up, and just make like a fleet of 20 suicide scouts and send them in first to blow up themselves and the mines . . .

Making a joke, AND, complementing FB for the lack of DRM (comapired to DoW2) gets people all riled??? Being surprised there is no tutorial in a game that is so unique and has so very many items/consumables/spells upsets people??? YEESH! Consider Xanx and meditation. All I can say that I KNOW all my casual gaming friends, I want them to like/play the games I play, I want them to play DG with me, and I'm totally sure if they have t

Well, I'm kind'a the gueny pig for my other gamer friends with this game. No tutorial. Ok, I can handle that and learn as I go. No campain? Wow, well, ok, I guess I can handle that too. Then, I play my third skirmish, it was great, but with so many DemiGods, and so much happening, I just could not wait to watch the replay to see what I did right or wrong (and also see what was going on the other 60% of the time I could not see my allies). I thought I was re

Thanks FB, I'll take a look, and send the link to my friends before they try it on my Lan. And, oh, btw, my friends were very interested in DoW2 and Demigod. Due to Dow2's harsh DRM (I never did get it to work on my lan either, due to the fact GFWL was so sure I was a pirate), and the ease of installing DG and how easy it was to get Lan to work, I'm almost positive several of my friends will be getting DG for sure. I think it was a coin toss which

The DG rule book is really skimpy; but as I finished it (in 10 minutes), I thought "oh well, I'm sure they explain it fully in the tutorial". Could'nt find any tutorial, so I thought "The tutorial must be included in the campain, teaching you as you go". I could'nt find any campain though either [e digicons]8C[/e] . Yikes. So I start to play a game, and see the mydrid of upgrades and items, I figure "I'll just pause the game, and slowly Tool-Tip everything, and that

Well, my BD is in 2 hours; so I thought I'd never see it as a BD gift, but, WOW, I did get it today. What a surprise. Too bad it messed up the poor SD guys week. At least I know now why I can't get MP to work. And did I read right, DG has NO copy protection??? I had to register mine; you meant it had no "CD Copy" protection? I have another off topicish question. When I installed it my main computer, I had to register it, but when I installed it o

I saw on the DG forums that some people used their full name to register with Impulse, and they are worried (rightly so) about it showing in online play. I like my P.P. name for most games/forums, but I really had a lot of Usernames going through my head when I got the game today as a BD gift, but it looks like I'm stuck with P.P. unless I change it for EVERYTHING :(

Spore was the most disapointing game to me since MOO3, and Mr. Wright is "supposedly" suppose to be the king of strategy games (Spore was a coloring book). Perhaps he is leaving to work on that new "Barbie Pet Rescue II" PC game. . .

Ya, happened to me too. If a cannon shoots even 1 second before you capture a planet, the "bullet" still keeps heading toward that planet. It often gets there (cause they travel so slowly) after you have captured it; even after you'll left the well.
