Current usage of "Assassin" is anyone who trains specifically for the purpose of taking life with efficiency. No one is saying Rook has his roots in an ancient sect of drugged fighters, but they spawned a word which works to describe him, because they do the same thing. Methodology varies, but killing is the tie that binds a walking castle and a fallen angel...

Just wondering if Stardock or GPG had any plans to sponsor an official Demigod Ventrilo or Teamspeak server? I know there are a bunch of us out here who would use it ^^ Thanks, Kestrel
Yep it s true Cloak of Night is maybe too strong but the short range and the fact that it's a favor item make it imo quite okay (maybe 50 less damage), even if I think it's in the favor items top 3 or 5. I'm gonna throw Cloak of Night in there too. Instawarp and 300 dmg is pretty crazy. At least Warpstone costs something and takes an item slot
Reg is weak on this beta now, 6 mines total, only weak player will die from that.
Yah, his spell damage potential has been significantly nerfed and the large armor mitigation achievable in 2D means the Fury/DPS build isn't as great as it used to be. Regulus is a bit boring in this build, compared to the average 20-kills-a-game superstar he used to be. Yes he was a bit OP, but now he's a bit lobotomized. It would be ni

Shamblers need help, but I'm wondering how much of that is psychological. You don't see them doing anything unless you look really hard and notice the little chain of spikes rippling out from them doing...37 damage. I vote for a slight buff on shambler damage and improved animation showing that they are actually hurting your opponents - Shambler punches front legs deep into the ground, spikes ripple out from there... Also why does one of QoT's abilities reward her for

I was playing around with the 2D Warpstone a bit this weekend and when you get good with it it becomes essential. What you see in a 2 v 2 with good players is a fight scene from the movie Jumpers . That's fun for a little while, but it might need tweaking. Possible tweaks (pick one or more) - lower radius so that jumping between lanes is not quite possible - increase cast time slightly<
Phasein arrival with accompanying sound. Offense/defense/movement debuff as transportee "orients" him/her self to new location.
He's saying that you should hear a port in when it happens locally and also that using ports should temporarily debuff your DG. Both of these would alter the current teleport ambush dynamic we've got now. A 1 sec stun on port arrival might be interesting.

50% mitigation is achievable in multiplayer games, and it means any DG who has specced normal damage rather than nuke spells is at a disadvantage, imo. Some of the DGs don't really have nukes to speak of, so it would be nice if they could either get some or this could be tweaked slightly. For example, if I am playing against an Oak and a UB and I pile on the armor they can't do much to hurt me.

Very cool, thanks for the tips, Tyo. I'd also like to see TF2 style pop-up emotes to convey basic quick information. An ally will see them pop onscreen from your direction and briefly ping the minimap: press E and a little '+' pops up over your DG, means you need a heal. press R and a little "stopsign = +" pops up, saying "stop running away, I'm trying to heal you" press F and a little house sign pops up, means you need to go back to cita

Mines are fine with the current radius, especially if they intend to keep the cap at 6. Give the throw arc a tracer (slight glow) and increase trigger time to explosion by 0.2. There, now if you are paying any attention at all you can avoid the mines. Regulus is a ranged Demigod. Just because he kills you if you aren't paying attention doesn't mean his range should be nerfed, imo.

Since I have time - Oak - Animated Suit of Armor - General with good support abilities and buffs. Late-game Oak is an excellent counter to the squishier Assassins and minion-dependant generals. Can spec either as defensive support or balanced warrior type. Pros - exceptional DPS for a general, which increases as he gains minions. High speed and flying minions allows Oak to chase down a fleeing opponent for the kill. Not as mana-depend

2D has some nice tweaks to gameplay and UI, as well as fixing the netcode to an extent. Some totally random, end-of-long-day thoughts: The only netcode frustration at this point is that certain players seem to act as evil twins for each other, and will never be able to join a game to which the other has connected. Some of these players are allergens for any other player, so if you get one of them in your game no one else can join after them. I think I'm luc
