Since this page is popping up under posts on the Demigod forums, it's worth noting that the poster and some of the commenters of this thread might want to take a look at Demigod ^^ No building or production management. Maximum controllable units right now are in the 20's if you are General and cap out at one very powerful unit if you are an Assassin. You can't turtle or play sim city really, but micro and build/item order are far more ma

Sweet! Thank you Devs! Out of curiosity, how many of the issues we were dealing with in terms of connectivity and desync/crashes will be resolved by this update?
Capn, are you looking to build your own or would you be looking for a boutique rig? Alot of the stuff in this thread is helpful if you are building your own. The [H] forums are always good too. I went for a Maingear rig 6 months ago that priced out at just over $1,500 and it was well worth the premium over component cost for warranty, support, professi

He's saying the price was higher in Europe than in the States for the Entrenchment expansion.
Something to think about - snipe currently lets you bypass everything to hit your target. If a snipe hits the first target it comes to, whether that be an enemy demigod or an enemy building, you will have lost the ability to lasthit from across the map in alot of cases. You will also start to get "bodyguard" tactics, where allies will shield a wounded DG from the likely angle of attack with their own bodies, until he is safely behind a wall. I think this removes alot
I'll do one for you - Sedna - Inuit Sea Goddess who rides a Snow Leopard (Sila - also an Inuit God) and carries a harpoon Pros - flexible, good at tanking or supporting a tank, works well on a team. Cons - depends on minions for range, fairly useless and vulnerable without a constant supply of mana, pounce interrupt is bugged, melee attack is fairly weak compared to other DGs Uses - can be played as a straight damage/heal Paladin type tank or a
I like this idea a bunch. I'm thinking you'd have to remove the health crystal, or make it accessible only when you reach a time, place, or kill goal. Grunts should go up in armour and weapon level as well as type as the waves progress, too, otherwise you'll be able to shrug off everything they throw at you. Right now I'd say angels would bring the most pain - catas and giants are pretty slow...
I like this alot
If Boulder and Hammer had a high barrier to entry in the form of skill, it wouldn't be an issue; it's because it's so easy to pull off that it needs to be looked at for balance, not just because it kills anything instantly.
So I wrote this today in another thread without following this one...It means I have a psychic connect with Mpies and PossImpossible...only two days later [e digicons]:|[/e]
So it was a logical extension to keep the tactics but add a triple-A quality.
I think he's just saying that GPG is spending alot more money, Annatar, not that the other games suck or lack value. Of course, when you consider that SoaSE cost under $1M to make "alot more money" can be subjective.... Frankly if you are zoomed in enough to appreciate the graphics in Sins, as in Supcom, then you are probably missing something important, (with a fe
This ties in neatly with this reading of Stross's Halting State, specifically: "...it is practically impossible for traditional authority-based politics to cope with a world of this kind. The traditional state, if it is to work at all, needs an underlying system of responsibility and accountability, with clear lines of command[...]States simply aren’t in control any more, to the extent that they ev

I think what I've come to is that Rook has a low threshold of achievement compared to other Demigods. I don't mean that a good Rook player will not completely destroy a bad one (Wagnard vs. me shows the spread very clearly) but that a bad Rook player, as long as he sticks to boulderslamming, will perform close to the level of a good Oak, UB, or QoT, or at least far better than a bad player with another DG. As people have pointed out, however,
If you think you're wasting your time, do something else for a few weeks until the next update comes out.
Actually I just had to get this off my chest before calming down and going back to play as usual. [e digicons]O:)[/e] I enjoy random 2 v 2 and the game overall - I just had a few frustrating episodes last night trying to play with specific people in larger teams..
This has been resolved, thanks for the hard and quick work, Cari_Elf and GPG Peace Kestrel
Let us know if it's coming today, thanks.
Really interesting. Something to note - At high levels of play in a 2 human v 1 human and 1 nightmare AI - the team with the AI will always lose. This is because the AI has no parameters which say "drop what I'm doing and go by the quickest route possible to where my ally is getting crucified by two opponents" or "somewhere on the map an opponent DG has less than 1k health, I should snipe them for the kill." I.E. A good team of 2 humans will beat 5 night
It was agaisnt, i THINK, called Eoynn. He was level 20 Rook...and had 8.3 hp or so. The money he had wasnt that big tbh...
That's nuts. He must have spent all his gold on hp items.
I just lost a game where I was a Rook with Staff of Renewal and so was my opponent, Wagnard. Therefore it seems clear to me that neither Rook nor Staff of Renewal are OP [e digicons]:')[/e]
Just had game with Rook reaching 8.3k+ HP...I think thats a bit too much lol
Was this a game against people or bots? I'm thinking you are getting massive artifacts and maybe even using scroll of vitality to get those numbers...In which case an opponent can invest in items which will reduce all 8k hp fairly quickly ^^
