Yes Brad I have noticed multiple screens quite a lot (say 10 times)I have had Total Freeze about 2-3 time including this one. And what Ted was saying about clicking where done should be, I've had something similar. I started a new game after putting my score on metaverse and changed the ai settings to average. Pressed go and the reserch window came up as usual but also the we have completed a new social project for our people window with an advanced building. Then it CTD. Total Freeze in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hi I keep getting total freezes, that I can only get out of by Ctrl+Alt+Del. The last time I noticed That 5 of my Star Hawks had assumed a stack formation and are following themselves about. I wondered if this might be something. 2 Had moved and 3 had still to move when the freeze occured. Any ideas on how to get Brad info on this kind of Problem.

I saw something simmilar. Altarian on smart. I found a system with a class 26, 19,18, Right next to a colonised Altarian system, in same sector. 1. I have never been able to find a class 26 unless it was near my home planet, as the AI always got there first, and this was right at the edge of my area of influence about the last planet I could colonise. 2 It could be said that the AI was building a colony ship But surley that would have been the first in the sector to be colonis

Funny I always thought it was our privalage to take part in the beta test. Point 2 is a very positive and proves your commitment to making a good game for your customers. Not that I didn't think that before but it is still nice to see that kind of commitment in writing. I am sorry to harp on about this but could we have a page in the encyclopedia for beta testers. To explain where to get smart exception. What to do if you have a stange problem that can be saved etc. It may not be needed

Yea Saw that first. I thought you might have something to say. Actually I thought you let him off lightly. All I can say is that I and everone else seems to be happy with arraingment and I did'nt have a problem understanding the "deal".But you always get one. Brad must be very calm. Yes he does respond but I think only on Gameplay,bug issues etc. that have not been covered already. He probably hopes other beta testers will help out newbie help questions. After all we all want him to spending his time making a good game for all of us to play.

Can anyone tell me how to update the user profile. I click the user profile button on the dgm change my details click update and the dgm updates. But when i click my name above that info is unchanged. Any ideas anyone?

It's on the options tab pull that down and show betas is on there. Or should be.

I don't think I have come across any, ever. What do they look like. The Dregin kept giving me ships to fight them in my last game. Perhaps that is why I never seamed to have any money.

Ah!!! To be retired with GalCiv at your side! Heaven Sheer Heaven. Hopfully when I retire We will be be on Gal Civ 8 I'll be a Commander and Jack will be first Lord of the Admiralty (or US equivelent)
