Perfect Nova!

So, is the Diplomacy 'mod enable' version of TSOP good to go? 0.8?
Clouds look good bud!!!
Wow, I really like the way Super Zeroe's Vas ship looks. It's very definable!!!
Now THAT is a Tec ship I can get behind. :-0
Exactly HOW big is your map? I'm currently working on a 170 plus star map. What is your scale set too? If your map scale is set too large then yes this will happen and it will also take probably about five or six years to phase between stars, let alone planets. :-P
I suppose team colors are not so much of a deal breaker I suppose. I don't know if it's really worth troubling over for past models or models that just don't seem to have a place for that all. Possible ideas could be emblems, edges of designs such as the feathers or the fins, possibly a few other things but I wouldn't worry about it so much now. Just thinking out loud. I'll live. You may just have to revert back to some form of the generic zoomed out stars. Would something like this (scroll down for the graphic) be what you were looking for? (Maybe not ideal but perhaps something to work off of?) http://tgnforums.stardock.com/348205
^ This is funny!
I had completely forgotten about team colors!!! [e digicons]8C[/e] That is by far one of the cooler things about Vanilla Sins is how each ship has certain aspects that reflect your team's color. We have taken into account team colors for our models correct? Please tell me I'm right? :-P
Much better!!! :-D
Quoting Stant123, reply 4695It could pass for an upgraded Dunov. Nah, this one.... Reduced 50%Original 1128 x 500
This seems nice. :-)
Agreed!!!! Do not eliminate it! It's just that the reflection is odd due to how the geometry comes together and that it is a very flat surface right in that region. I believe is the top lights that HawkWall mentioned were to be illuminated it would help the look of this model as well.
Reminds me of a Homeworld vessel. :-P
I'm still stuck on the Russian tree, just got BT-7 and am loving it. I am having a blast sneaking up on bigger tanks and taking out their tread. Even smaller light tanks then just swamp them and out flank them. The speed does help a bit if you have a few other BT-7s or even a BT-2 to outflank TD or SPG later game.
Anyone thought of using some of the pre-beta / beta ship components for the TEC or other races?
The model is well done based on the illustrations and miniatures I have seen referenced! Well done! The only thing that seems off to me is how the forward facing light effects reflect oddly off of the main center body of the vessel between the wings and forward command deck. I don't suppose there could be any other ways to light a few of the other features to help offset this issue? Not really sure how to help remedy that problem.
Will the OP be updated to the newest release? Or is everyone still running .7? I'd like to get my butt whooped online one of these days.
I think what would probably be better for the screen shots is to turn the skybox feature on prior to taking a screen shot. It will soften the background a bit better. I LOVE the possibilities of this so far. Very awesome. :-)
So ... what's in the works for the next version of the mod that hasn't been mentioned publically yet? [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
Here is the follow answers to OriLord's insulting and rude rant over on the Distant Stars where he took this quote from. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/335474/page/186/#2916353 Just wanted to show you all what you're up against considering OriLord's attitude and general kiddish insults to quite a few of the most respected modders on thes
It might simply be something that will only be perfected when Rebellion comes out. It sounds like some of the game mechanics will allow the flagship mod much more freedom in it's design.
That would be very nice for the map I am working on. I don't want to have to create 150 mono-directional wormhole lanes from a pirate base ... :-\
While this is true ... it's about the only effective weapon they have late game. Mixing this with putting pulse guns on Fighters and their naturally slow economy as well will limit them even more early and later game than most people think. Not trying to say, "Don't nerf the vasarii" I just think that this is going to be a potentially rough learning experience for balance once you start tweaking actual mechanics instead of just damage amounts and types ...
This is true, my labtop has an ATI mobility X1600 and this is the case with that computer. My desktop which has a GeForce 8800 GS does not.
