Yeah, you could look at at LEAST a patch a month for the first two years of the game. Which was about the time you stopped playing. Not quite sure when you started but ... it sounds like you were in the midst of the 'age of patches' for Sins. [e digicons]8|[/e]

Any news?

I'm possibly looking around 10pm or so Eastern Time Zone Saturday Evening or a bit earlier on Sunday. My s/n is LittleBoshimi
I had to change my address and I contacted them after I realized I didn't have access to those things I purchased. It was without hassle. They have a link on their website for issues like this ... I think?
Anyone else interested? I've got Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday open due to the Holidays. Don't have to work and my wife has given me the thumbs up to play!!! [e digicons]:D[/e] GMT +2? Eastern Time Zone here in the States.
If you're looking for casual game I'm sure some of us would be able to ablige. :-) What time and days would you be looking to play? I'm incredibly rusty but I could give it a shot if I'm available. :-)
Its frustrating but hang in there. There are friendly individuals to play games with out there, it just takes time.
I have been called a smurf before and booted from lobby's for being a smurf. It took a while before someone actually told me what a 'smurf' was as myfist0 has just done. Unfortuanately, there are the bad as well as the good of individuals on the internet and that applies here as well. Most people in my experience will either trash talk and just want to raise their scores in the game, OR, they are willing to help and are by far the more enjoyable people to play with. Due to time constraints I
I'll upgrade to 64bit Win7 when the opportunity comes. I have a Pentium D 3.2ghz Machine running Win-7 32 with a NVIDIA GS 8800 graphics card. I can run mass effect, Sins, SC2, Farcry 2, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Crysis etc. It works perfectly for what I want to do with it. Do I want Sins or other applications to be written in 64 bit? You better believe I do! Once the market transfers over, and there is a product that is 64 bit that I want, I'll upgrad

However, depending on your play style, tactics, and beginning 'planetoid' setup near your home planet AND where you're opponents are, the Capital ships are setup and priced in a way that really does make the game a LOT of fun to play. Thumb sup!
Most definitely. I'm not just trying to talk this game up either. There is a lot of depth here and to top it all off, a brand new update coming in the next couple of months that should allow for a huge influx of new mods, impressive content etc. The game-play, is superb.
WOOT! THIS is why I love this community, the IronClad team, and Stardock. Thank you!!!
Two points and a comment of praise. :-) 1) Patch has been pushed back to January? This is the first I have heard of a date spoken outside of e-mails with Blair Fraser some months back. What's the news concerning this? 2) Will DS encorporate the fixes that TSOP has implemented? Praise) This mod in many ways has brought a significant balance and even more joy to us casual LAN party gamers who routinely have 8 person bouts in t
Wish I could get a hold of Blair, he's since two months ago stopped responding to e-mails.

I can duplicate exactly what you did. It was very easy to follow and well laid out. It does not fully solve the issue I am running into. When you zoom out, the planets do not stay close to the star. On a 50 star map for example when you zoom out the stars continue to get closer but eventually while zooming out the planets no longer get closer to their stars and then you cannot tell which star the planet belongs too.
Stant, I'll be working on a small 'mod' to incorporate for standard sins and then also a version for DS that affects the pirates as we discussed above. I'll post here with my results.
myfist0 I wanted to thank you for showing how to accomplish this. I will be posting up a video on where I am currently at and with what parameters I am using. I am still managing to have the planets be an issue, though what you have shared has helped to alleviate that somewhat. Expect a video by the end of the weekend. I'll post it here.
This is a US Hosted website or at the very least US affiliated. Just in the same way that the US lawyers work with other governments to track down illegal file sharing, prosecuting someone for infringing on IP and copywrite is actually easier than knabbing someone for downloading an mp3. You can tell them to sit on a pole, but it's not going to do you a whole lot of good, especially if you have content that is hosted on a us or us affiliated website. Those websites are
Thanks Stant. I'm looking for something that is a bit more laid back and doesn't necessarily involve a huge pirate capital ship every time ... O.o'
I don't suppose there is any easy way to increase the pirate spawn time AND make the pirates weaker in DS? I know the time between raids has been mentioned before but I can't seem to find the post. Biggest issue that my friends and I run into as casual players is that the game goes good until the pirates and their capital ship show up. We get blown away and its game over.
When I get some more work on my map done later this week I'll shoot you a PM. At the very least, we should be able to have a nice long campaign map across the Honor Harrington universe with the TEC, Vassari, and Advent.
The big thing here is that Baen Books has a very tight grip on their IP. Really I wish they didn't, because I would LOVE to see something like this come to fruition. Biggest thing is I just wanted to save you the trouble of putting a lot of time in and then getting shut down with a C&D order. Check out www.honorverse.com
