would it even be worth trying to get in contact with the developers about this issue? I've sent out a few pm's over the last 6 months or so but haven't heard anything back. Also was told about 10 months ago that there would be some sort of 'upgrade' package available for those of us who purchased the micro-expansions but wanted to have a boxed copy of 'trinity' which we technically already 'purchased'. Never heard back. What was once a rocking com

I am actually a big fan of the DS mod for balancing and adding to the gameplay. I'm not neccesarily a big fan of EW Fighters however they have been balanced in such a way as to eliminate fighter popping cap ships in one pass, typically. That is what our LAN crowd for this game (6-15 of us) think in any case. Biggest problem for us is that we want to create (and have the templates ready to go) for large multistar maps. Problem is, when you zo

So realistically, we need to get the industry to switch to 64-bit in order to get more stuff in sins with the current game mechanics concerning textures. Hmmm. Thank you for this btw, very useful.

Try submitting a bug report in addition to asking on the forum thread. (Bug report link is above) I am running Win 7 Prof 32-bit and I have only had a mini-dump in Diplomacy itself during a multiplayer game about 5 minutes it. After that I played the mod until I was smushed ^_^ (about an hours worth) by the enemy.

When playing multi-player with this mod ... in the quick buy / sell, are the numbers supposed to be like -246582921 and stuff? Or was that an issue that was patched in .6? Everything plays great and normal in single player ... I don't know if this is a bug or if it's a normal occurance. ~boshimi336 P.S. Thank you for including my graphics mod in this. HOPEFULLY before the end of summer I will have an updated version but, it all depends on stuff be

Very cool! One question however, if a player already owns Sins of a Solar Empire plus the two expansions (Entrenchment and Diplomacy), can we pay shipping and get trinity sent to us? Or is there a deal similar to that in the works? The reason I ask, is that I would like to have a hard copy of those two expansions and i've already purchased the collector's edition of the original game for close to $60 when it was released a few years ago plus each of the expansions at their listed $9.99 value.

There are certain ways around this believe, even if it is hardcoded. I think you can give pirates and militias planets and resources and they can expand correct? Possibly given the correct code or templates?

https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/348205 there is the Multiple Stars Graphics Mod which elimiated the 'galaxy' animations around stars when you zoom out. It reduces system load and 'white blobs of death' on multiple star maps, increasing their playability. It is ALSO included in the Distant Stars Mod.

Not a problem! The complaint you posted above is the exact reason why I asked around and managed to put it together! The cool thing about it is that you can play people that don't have it enabled as well. Now i'm just waiting for Pbhead to make a bigger multiplayer map, say ... 4-6 players? Maybe 10? :-O I'm in the process of trying to put together a 178 star map with small small small number of planets per star and very few militias (to save on p

As a player that mostly plays private matches with friends on weekends and the occasional online match, it is frustrating to be called a 'smurf'. Up until recently I didn't even know what that term meant, people wouldn't tell me. I have something like 15 or so online games recorded, people boot me from games because of it and that's why I don't want to bother playing much online because people are big jerkwads. You have no idea how often I get this: PuG Leader "Hey, you

If all you're doing is modifying the graphics, you should be alright setting it as a mod. If i am correct, graphics mods do not affect multiplayer gameplay. :-) You could make all of your galaxy animations around your star for example dissapear ... and you can still play with people that don't have that graphics mod enabled or downloaded.

that link ... just made me smile. Thank you Will. :-) Great fun is soon to be had! :-D Yes cobalt, there has been some stuff done here on the forums but copyright issues abound and most projects have been shut down or abandoned. The one project that got the furthest was a mod for Homeworld two, it even had David Webber's support but the company that owned the rights did not let it go through as they are developing their own game at the moment as w

That my good friend can be fixed by using the Multiple Stars Graphics Mod that I made! :-) It removes the 'glow' feature and simply keeps the star itself, no galaxy animations! I'd like to turn it into 2d sprites somehow as well, but I have yet to figure that out. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/348205

The Undying, I have been thinking about how to re-approach my Honorverse map, which will have 50+ star systems. Before I get to the picture below, I was curious. If I stick with standard since colonizable planet types, no funky moons, all that stuff would you be willing to help me out with map construction? Around each star (with a few exceptions) there will be anywhere from 0-3 colonizable planets, max # number of planets (astroid belts and debris included) around 7.</
