Well After sleepign the ight on it and doing a quick test I can tell you that LRF spam with just a hand full of flak will continue to be prety much the only stratergy viable in early game. The changes made to fighter the counter to LRFs is just insufficent. Don't bother gettign carrier with fighters they will still get wiped out and LRFs are still free to roam around with no counter. Couple with the fact that LUMS are still way more powerfull then it's counter parts this will msot likely resu
Well I will say it looks very good. My only worry about it is that it might not fully resolve the LRF spams because the 5% reduction In penalty I knwo form my testign will do nothing to help much. It would take 7 flak firgs 1 or 2 minutes to completely decimate 20 sqaudrons of fighters. So LRFs still won't have their counter back it seems.
That would be cool I ahve a few interestign maps collecting dust.
Yeah, thats good for you. The next STALKER game call of prypiyat is suposed to be using the Crysis engine. Their abandoning their X-Ray engine. So dunno what will ahppen then. Btw do you have shadow of chernobly? Or did you only try Clear Sky?
Indeed this has went from me telling people to not hope for huge changes in the new features at this point to a flame war. People who understand the process of developemtna nd people who don'T and tell them to STFU. Maybe not in those words. But that is prety much what it is.

If their thsi close to beta then features of the rehull have been decided. The beta will determine if they work or not in the manner intended. The time for full blow feature suggestions was durign thsi winter when they had the the Dipplomacy suggestion thread witch recived I think over 1000 replies. And were do I get my info. I get it form my knowlege of game developement, from logic and form interpretign what litle information the DEVs have spilled and from a message I recive
There's going to be a beta for a reason. What changes they have now won't be the same at release
Indeed but I want to see if their ont he right track or not.
Yes some stuff changed alot because it discouvered broken features. So they needed to be fixed balanced. This will indeed orcure again. But NEW features not already planed will not happen. Right now all we can id wait for the beta to then have a more important influence.
People just to tell you all that it's pretty much to late for suggestions of new features to be added in at this stage. What IC is currently working at right now from my imformation is setting up the values for allt he features they added in correctly and they will be looking at teh balnce issue as well. New mechanics that are not yet planed or already in the game are unlikely to make it in. Just telling you all since I notice alot of your have suggestion threads going. What this foru
Yarlen, I'll be waiting for the balance changes for the preorder. So would be great to start postignt he chnages that will be made before the pre order period ends.
Me I am waiting for first anouncments of balance chnages they will go with the beta before preordering.
I wish I could have gotten Clear Sky to work...sigh.
Why does Clear Sky not work for you? SoC works the CS should work too.
I think this is why people think 'good AI' = 'sorta kinda looks smart'. Like the STALKER AI; they try to be clever, but they generally end up shooting in the wrong place while you headshot them all. It -looks- like what they're doing is clever as they follow their simple flank-and-fire move over and over, but terrain tends to trip them up and make them look quite foolish.
You must be talking about the early AI from STALKER of chernobile on easy difficulty. The AI was

bdgackle I fail to see were you are getting at. Both trade ports and refineries use up 4 logistic slots. All civilian buildings use 4 slots. So their is no slot advanatge to be spoken ofve. Thus why it is not covered sicne it is irrelevent. As for the advantages over time in short and long term it also doesn't matter. What the calculations take concideration ofve is how fast doe sthe building pay for it's self and how much income it will produce. For trade ports we can easily
For the snakes leg it's most likely not evolutiont hat occured but more devolution. The ancestors of snakes were 4 leged reptiles, even in modern snakes we see that they still have remains of hind legs, those remains are largely useless. what happene din thsi snake is simply a genetic anormaly that was randoly caused by nature or caused by chemicals/toxins/polution released in the invivroment by humans that had the effect of reactivating a long dormant gene int he snake that c
To me it looks liek a cross between GalCiv2, Swords fo the Stars and SINS. I see key feture from all 3 game sinto that one game.
So people do have very valid reasons for disliking Securom and calling it malware.
That beacause it is malware. Know the saying: "If looks like shit, smell like shit, tastes like shit and feels like shit then it must be SHIT!"
Just to get a few points strait. I am not upset that Stardock is now distributing EA producs. It is definately a good sing for Stardock and maybe will entice EA to change but that is a logn shot. I do not support pirating/hacking of games and ect. I am only stating actions I decided to take in personal retaliation towards EA's DRM policies. But I am on a personal vedeta againts EA to warn as many people as possible about their malware products in attemps to dimish thei

If by what I am saying those retards can't fugure out they turned a once payign customer of their products to a boycutter/occasional pirate of their products by imposing him on horrible DRM then they can pleasure their selves with their corn comb for eternaty.
if I was a pirate I wouldn't have install limits.
Indeed and compagnies like EA are totlay failling to to get the point. I can tell yout hat for having pirate SPORE ym self as retaliation to EAs draconistic regime I had no problems what so ever to make the game work. None of the problems reported for spore were present for me in the pirated version. It worked like a CHARM.
