Well, I wouldn't tell them to turn off alloy, I would suggest it. In order for them to turn it off, and host, the host has to have their router setup properly, go to host settings (which will kick everyone out of the game lobby), disably alloy, and rehost the game. So just be aware of the prereq. Otherwise, no, there isn't a lot you can do about it, just make sure your connection stays stable. But really, it's all just voodoo, as sometimes ICO

When I couldn't find a MP going during the roll out of Entrenchment, I played some comp stomps and decided to work the diplomacy side. I found it very easy to get at least one to two AI's on my side. Sometimes, I even got it so I had the unfair advantage. I personally think you don't know how to use the system. Those first few "give me money" missions are so easy. The next missions are equally laughable , "go kill 5 ships for me." Go kill a few ships, and n
The only good Choke point SB is TEC's one.
I disagree. Vasari have excellent ways of making a good choke point with a small fleet lying in wait. PJI+Subverter or Grav Bomb = gg. Also, I will keep repeating that the Kostura Cannon will help you get around ANY choke point.

My favorit tactic is to hit quick and somewhere along the lines (say 2,000 HP), fire off nano-disembler, start moving your cap, and then move the rest of the fleet to the grav well to make the jump. By the time my fleet is ready to jump, the PJI is exploding and no time is wasted.

This actually happens somewhat often, and some players are more susceptible to it than others. For instance, P5yy dropped like crazy one day. On another day, it's somebody else. My theory is the combination of the Alloy code and some freekiness of the users connection on that day (i.e., Thunderstorms) cause ICO to drop you. When it drops you, you get to play against a bunch of AIs. It occasionally happens to me, but not consistently at the same time. If the

Starbases do create choke points. To do this, you need proper positioning of PJIs, Mines, and SB(s). Then, keep a small fleet there, while your main fleet is else where. Keepling some flak around your SB is probably a good idea, along with fighter cover. Most good players will take out the PJI prior to jumping, but if they are dump enough not to take it out first, you can probably use other tricks that also don't work on skilled players, like the PJI+Grav bomb/
otherwise it would take forever vs. a 6000 points planet.
hehe, you never played me obviously. 2x planet suction...that's all I have to say about that.

There's two situations when you are Vasari and the other player is ANY race. 1) You take out the fleet first, ignoring the starbase, and when the enemy fleet is gone, you either attack the starbase outright or use your own SB. 2) The other guy has a massive fleet and SB. You build however many Kostura cannons you can, and fire all of them at the planet (or you could fire one somewhere else and skip the planet altogether). Anyway, with about 7 shots, you kill

Astax, while I agree you can still win by not building carriers, you really should have a few, if for nothing else than fighter coverage. Flak vs Bombers just doesn't work. Flak vs Vasari SC also doesn't work extremely well. Also, in the end game, where you have already won, I usually spam the living daylights out of carriers equipped with bombers to make cleanup go quicker.
in that case, you must of stomped him plenty of times!
I've played you twice (and won I might add), which isn't enough to rank you on. There are three players that I fear to go against: Cykur, Tyr222, and JohnJames. I would also add that with the amount of mistakes I have been making since Entrenchment has come out, I am seriously considering downgrading myself to Tier 2.

The reason to have multiple repair bays is so that: Your repair bays can be repaired You can repair multiple targets at once Cover a larger area You can keep repairing during a larger battle Repair bays need Anti-Matter. If you have more repair bays, you have more Anti-Matter at your disposal.
Request the AI that takes over to do things, such as attack/defend certain locations on the map
Prior to v1.15, this suggestion would be laughable at best. However, the new AI is pretty decent, and will put up a good fight. Use the AI, and you will be rewarded. Also, setting up a SB with some defenses and 3 PJIs at a choke point should do wonders for you if your fleet is tied up else where. Oh, and give me karma.

Flak sucks, never use it. Waste of money on research and fleet supply. /Howthe secretly goes off and starts new game, building nothing but flak.
that Vasary ships have superior base hull points (takes longer to chew their ships) superior armor in general
Here is the rankings for hull: TEC has better. Vasari is good. Advent sucks. So far, I heard that the Vasari repair bay has a longer range of effect, and a longer duration. While pluses, neither helps when your cap is getting focus fired. Try to focus fire a Kol with a repair bay and a Horoshiko going, and tell me how that
